Just wondering...we're going soon and I was wondering if these are valid traders.

Thanks

Anne

We were there the week after the first set was released. I traded several pins. The only one that was in demand was the #1 pin. Unfortunately I only had one to trade.

I have not been buying all the pins so that I can trade for them at WDW. I am hoping people bring a lot of them to trade but so far I haven't seen to many. Be sure and look for me at the Friday night pin meet and I will definatly be interested.

i too was in wdw after the first week was released. i traded my complete second set minus #1 which i actually traded online before we went to wdw. the CM were very excited to see the new pins but I can't say i got any great pins (LE or CM) for them. i'm a newbie and i was just learning but i did get a lot of pins i like including a few retired pins. however some people would say that a $4.00 pin from the tds is always worth trading for a $6.50 wdw rack pin. personally i haven't made up my mind on this yet, seems to me a rack pin is easier to find despite its cost. either way they are defidently valid traders and from what i have seen posted on these boards most of the people near wdw have had a hard time finding the tds pins at the ds in Florida, so they might be eager to trade with you. good luck!! :earsboy:

Exactly right! Us Orlando folk don't see much of the Disney Store pins unless they are traded to a lanyard at WDW! I think they are all great pins. I especially like the Pooh dangle and the Emperor's New Groove pin, but any Disney Store pin is a welcome pin here in WDW!

I was there Oct 14-18. There was a lot of interest in these pins and I traded quite a few of them to others who wanted them.

Although at the time we didn't realize it was a DS pin, my DD-7 traded for Sleeping Beauties Castle, as we were there from 09-29 thru 10-10 and hadn't seen the sneak peeks so thought it was maybe a Disneyland pin, she was thrilled with her trade. We were both brand new to pin trading on our second trip to WDW. I had bought 1/2 dozen or so nice variety of pins off ebay before our trip and had the Lanyard Starter set for both of us that I had pre-purchased before trip through Jane's Pixies @ Gifts of a Lifetime. DD was sooooooooo jealous the first few days as many CM's and pin traders would look at my lanyard & pins and comment about what "nice" pins I had and DD kept asking "WHY doesn't anyone say anything about my pins?" To her they would usually say cute hat as she had on the red/white polka dot Minnie with ears baseball cap. After a few days and several good trades later CM's and pin traders finally started commenting on her "nice" pins too which made her quite happy LOL!!!!!
