Hello,

I am going through the process of finding a villa in Orlando for our holiday next year.

Has anyone stayed at WESTRIDGE, which is located in the outskirts North of the town of Davenport, Florida (minutes from Kissimmee) along highway U.S. 27 between Highway U.S. 192 and the I-4 Interstate.

How long does it take to get to the Disney parks and Universal Orlando parks ?

Thanks

We stayed on the next development down (Florida Pines) last year. Excellent location You're on the 192 in 5 minutes - from there it depends on the traffic ! - although advertised as '10 mins from Disney' - it took about 15-20 minutes to get to Disney 'proper' (less from there to AK via Sherberth Rd).

Thank you for the reply.

Has anyone stayed at CHATHAM PARK

We have booked Westridge for next year.

Last year we stayed at Hampton Lakes which i directly across the I27 from Westridge. It's about 15 mins to Disney and we always used Sherberth Road as it was so easy to find - just head for Animal Kingdom lodge.

It's also really easy driving as it's the quiet end of the 192. There is a Publix at the end of the 192 and a new Publix right next to the estate. It's also only a few minutes from the I4 and everything off that.

We stayed at the other end of the 192 this year and although on the map it looked closer to everything it actually took longer as the roads were busier - we also kept getting lost coming out of Disney. So this year we conciously looked to head back to the I27.

The major downside of Westridge is if you want to go out for meals in the evening - there's nothing nearby so it's a bit of a drive.

From Westridge or anywhere else on the 27 you could head south towards haines city where you will find places to eat
there's Southern Dunes golf club that has a great restaurant , a little place called Fish Tales ,Green Leaf Chinese and la crepe nearby to ronald reagan parkway.

thanks for your replys.

I managed to find a villa, for what i believe to be a good price, at the other end of the 192 near marker 14 - next to Walmart.

A 3-bed 2-bath villa with private screened pool for £290 per week inc. all taxes.

So i am pretty pleased with that, i also got the flights at a good price......more money to spend when we get there :earsboy:
