Has anyone stayed at the Peabody Hotel??

Friend of mine is going next week. Her sister lined her up with the Peabody. She has never heard of it. Any body have info or a site I could go to get some info for her??? thanks...corvair amy

The Peabody is a really lovely hotel in the heart of I-Drive, well situated for all the attractions. It is a bit convention-oriented but is quite luxurious in many ways, with large rooms, huge pool and a great choice of restaurants (your friend should definitely visit the B-Line Diner for dessert - just scrummy!).

Thank you, I checked out the site but there was not any info on shuttles to WDW. They will need this. Do you know how the transportation is??? They will be relying on this to get back and forth to the park...thanks...corvair amy

If your friend isn't going to have a rental car they really should switch to an onsite hotel. The Peabody is near the convention center, closer to SW than to Disney. I'm sure whatever shuttle they have is scheduled limited type of shuttle.

The Lynx bus[Orlando Public transportation system] goes to the TTC.

**Plus!!! the Peabody has the Famous Ducks floating in the lobby fountain ,in the morning and at 4pm each afternoon the Ducks parade to their roof top suite, right down the red carpet!!

tink2dw. ,, are you saying that there are no direct bus shuttles to disney? I think my friend is under the impression that a bus picks them up and takes them directly to disney. She thinks that the hotel has their own bus shuttle. she has 4 kids . and will be having to get back and forth.. thanks for the info....covair amy

I am pretty sure the Peabody has a shuttle. I have seen the shuttle driving to Disney. I would give them a call.

I don't know about shuttles for the Peabody.

I was giving alternatives just in case. There are other ways to get to Disney World from the Peabody. It just takes a little pre planning.
