Has anyone stayed at the Double Tree?

Hi all,
We are traveling to Disney for our first time this June. We have booked a room at the Double Tree as opposed to staying on site. We have young children and thought the extra room would be an advantage.
Has anyone stayed here? It gets good reviews on Trip advisor.

We stayed there several years ago - just me, my husband and then 4 yr old daughter. We had a good experience. We liked the extra room and thought the hotel was very convenient to the parks if you weren't actually staying on property.

Two things to consider if you won't have a car and aren't thinking of renting one. 1) The buses were a little infrequent, so with small children it isn't really convenient to come back and swim or nap unless you are driving yourself. 2) The buses make stops at about 5-6 other hotels to and from the parks. These hotels are all close together, but it can take a while.

This info is definitely a few years dated, but the hotel and the area are nice! I know you all are excited - welcome to the DIS!!
