To cut costs (aka so we can buy more souvenirs) we've decided to stay off Disney property. We're looking at the Days Inn & Suites on Harbor. Just wondering if anyone has stayed there and if it is decent. The price is definitely right! We won't be spending much time there except to sleep.

I know a disser who has hopefully she will see this and add some specifics about the Days Inn.

On thing I would consider, is staying closer, so you can walk to the parks. It's much quicker and cheaper than driving to a parking lot, or using a shuttle.

we have stayed at Days Inn but I think the one we stayed at was 1111 Ball Ave? If you are leaving Disneyland you would go over the I-5 over pass and it is on the left next to a gas station .
We have stayed there several times with a gaggle of kids. Rooms are ok , carpets in some are not really clean, some rooms are more run down than others. Breakfast is cereal, pateries, bananas, ect not too great but gets you started.
Pool is small but when we have gone it has been clean. They have a free shuttle to and from the park at specified times, it is just a shuttle van so if it is full (it will be) they make 2nd and 3rd trips. Last time we were there the last shuttle came 20 minutes after the park close even though WOC ended well after that. We ended up walking back because they would not send a shuttle, kinda scary walk in the dark.
I stay at this motel if I can't get entertainment rate at HoJo. It is ok if you are just looking for a place to crash..... if you plan on staying in your room alot I would look elsewhere. sometimes on expedia ect it is 54 bucks a night ...... Have fun!!!!

We stayed there in April '08' and it was ok for the price. The rooms were clean but older and they had a cont. breakfast (donuts, cereal, fruit and juice/coffee) The shuttle was nice if you were out there early enough, otherwise you would have to wait for the next trip. It still wasn't bad though. We walked back from disneyland once and it was a long walk with kids! So I say for the price, it wasn't too bad! Last time we went we decided to pay more and stayed at the Park Vue Inn and loved it! It was so nice to be so close and go back and forth to the room whenever we wanted. That was last April. Good Luck in whatever you decide, just remember you're at disney and you'll have a great time!!:wizard::thumbsup2

thanks! I think because of the shuttle factor (filling up, etc) we might go with something within walking distance at least of the parking tram, if not the whole park.

We have stayed there many times. It is your basic motel. Rooms have always been clean, the breakfast good enough. The last time we stayed there we opted to walk vs driving/parking in the Mickey & Friends parking structure. The walk is took about 15 minutes but the bonus was we could stop by Starbuck on our way to the park :)

We really love staying accross the street but unless we can get a good deal, we opt to stay here. I have our August trip booked at the Days Inn. Just can't pay the extra $30+ per night to stay accross the street.

We stayed here in May 2011. We also stayed to cut costs. There were no problems with the room or staff. There was one miss communication with our reservation however, I knew we were going to arrive before the check in time, 3pm I think it was and I wanted to include early check in price on our bill. It was not included and I had to pay an additional DAY of fees to check in when we arrived at approx 10 am. It wasn't a huge deal but threw off the budget I had worked so hard on.

The room was nice and was always cleaned for us. The breakfasts in the morning were decent with coffee, fruit and pastries. Pool area was clean but busy so we stayed away. Staff was very nice and polite.

The shuttle was the best part, saved on parking and hassle.

I would stay here again, but we got better rates for our trip in Feb 2012 at another hotel.

Happy travels !
