Has anyone stayed at the Ayres Inn near DL? How is it?

It appears that it is about two miles away....some info says that they have their own shuttle but I've also read reviews from people who have stayed there who say they went on the ART shuttle. How is the pool area? The hotel gets great reviews on Trip Advisor, I just wanted to know what some fellow DISers think....

TIA!

I've never stayed there, but the daughter of my co-worker has an AP and goes with her friend's family to DLR often. I guess the dad goes on business. But everytime they go, that is where they stay, so they must like it. Her parents are taking her for graduation to DLR in a few weeks and they will be staying there too. I can't tell you any details about it, but just that they like it enough to keep returning. It is on my list of hotels to consider for future trips. :)

I've only heard good things about this hotel. Check Tripadvisor.com. When last I checked, they were ranked the #1 hotel in Anaheim. Seems crazy, but true.

I haven't stayed at the one in Anaheim but due to a water leak a few years back at our home we stayed at the one in West Corona and were pleasantly surprised! :goodvibes We had a 2 room suite with a full kitchen. They served complimentary breakfast. And M-Th a manager's reception. The rooms were very nice. Looked just like the pictures on their website. We didn't check out the pool.

I would be happy to stay at Ayres again.

I thought the rooms were a good value, even if our Insurance Co. picked up the tab. I think it was $139 for the 2 room suite and $79 for one room.

The Ayres Inn in Orange? Or the Ayres Hotel on Katella? I was just looking at this hotel (Ayres Hotel). They have free HOT breakfast. And free parking and internet which is a plus for us. We're considering staying there in August.

Thanks prettyprincessbelle....I hadn't even noticed the difference. It looks like I am interested in the one on Katella...the Ayres Hotel Anaheim.

No problem! We're looking at that one too!
