Has anyone stayed at Liki Tiki recently? Or other recommendations with a fun pool?

I just got a new job and may need to change our trip from the end of May to early/mid July. I am not thrilled with that plan, but that time frame is what works with camps, etc. that my kids already have planned for summer so we are trying to roll with it.

Anyways, I know everything is more costly in the summer because it is peak season and I really don't think we can afford to shell out the $$$ to stay onsite when I know we can stay offsite for much less.

I've been doing some research on places (would love to find a good deal - as in around $850 for the week - at Bonnet Creek or Vistana!) and my kids saw the pool at Liki Tiki and were super excited about it. The reviews I've read seem to be so/so, but some are from a few years ago.

We are a family of 6 - DH, myself, and 4 kids (will be 8, 6, 4, and 22 months). Any info that people can share would be great! We've stayed onsite our last few trips and although I'm pretty well-versed with that type of plan, I feel clueless about this offsite thing!

If pools and water parks are what you are looking for then you have to check out these couple places. Id check the usual travelocity, travelzoo and those types of sites to get the best rate.

This hotel is fairly new and has a waterpark in the back of its pool area. It is on international drive near Universal. Prices shouldnt be to bad.

Thsi one is out West on 192 towards the main gate of Disney. A little out of the way but still a pretty cool pool.

Family Circle ahs just rated Liki Tiki as one of the top locations in their latest magzaine. The water park is awesome.
