Just wondering if anyone has shipped snack items and drinks to their resort before leaving on vacation or do you pack it in a seperate suitcase? If you shipped it, how much did it cost and how far in advance can you ship it to your resort before your arrival? If you packed it in a suitcase, are there any regulations at the airlines on what you can and can't pack (food/drink wise)?

We have done both. I liked shipping better in that it was easier to pack and we didn't have to handle it at all. It cost me about $10 for a box that weighed about 35 lbs. on FedEX (in 2003). I dropped it off at FedEx on Monday (I had checked on their website earlier to see how much time it would take to get their via Ground), tracked it on the computer and it arrived at the resort on Thursday. When we arrived on Friday, I just called from the room and within 15 min. someone brought it over for us. We did not ship any drinks as they are so heavy it probably would have cost about 3 times as much. That is why this last trip I decided to pack up a suitcase of food, plus I spread around drinks (sealed in plastic bacgs incase of breakage) amidst our clothes-filled suitcases, to help distribute the weight and pad the drinks. It was just more work for me packing it up in our suitcases and I worried over breakage and the airlines getting into it in a security check. All went well though, and then we had an extra suitcase for bringing back our souveniers, etc.

I haven't yet... but just wanted to mention that I'm ordering from 1 of two places that sell Horizon's individual serving milk cartons (they do not need to be refridgerated, we have 2 little kids and this would really help us out). These places sell a lot of items that do not need to be refridgerated. Both companies said they would be happy to ship to my resort... I just haven't made my choices yet.

we pack an extra suitcase of food every time and then use the extra space on the return trip for souveniers and stuff on the way home - works out awesome. Never any problems. I think if you are staying in the country and it is just food there are no restrictions, but check with your airline.

We brought the lil' milk (same idea as horizon but not organic) chips, fruit, granola bars.We had the meal plan so it was more about snacks for ds.

The only thing I would do different this time is get a couple of the bigger milk containers (parmalot) and cereal to save having to pay OOP for breakfast

Has anyone tried bottle water? Wonder how that did on an airplane. It's so expensive at Disney, I really would like to bring a case from home.

we got water bottles that have a built in filter (our were by culligan, my mom got them at a camping goods store) and used those, refilling them during the day as needed. They worked great
