We have been running the numbers with free dining at the BC and it still seems like a lot...

It looks like the BC and Poly rooms are at least $100 a night, and the AKL is dirt cheap- their concierge rates are $634 with tickets for 3 nights?!?!?! I know rack rate there is $435 a night :woohoo:

I am thiking this is a much better savings then free dining, right?
Could this be too good to be true? :confused3 :goodvibes :confused3

Those figures are PER adult plus additional charges for each child.

Actually the free dining package for 3 nights at AKL CL for 2 adults and 2 kids under 9 with 3 day park hoppers is $2333.04 and the package on the wdwforless page for the sized family would be $1597.72. There is no way that 2 adults and 2 kids will spend $735.32 on food that would be covered by the free dining plan in 3 days. That is $245.11 in food each day.

For a family of 4 to eat at LeCellier, a counter service meal and 4 snacks (assuming $3/snack) food cost would be $184.06 for that day. W/o the dining plan you'd still save $61.05 that day over doing AKL CL w/ free dining.

Looks like a great deal to me!

:)

Right, so if DH and I go for 3 nights, with free dining it would cost, $1,928.16 with 3 day park hoppers. With these rates it would cost $1,267.98. that is nearly $700 savings- we won't spend $700 for of food with 3 nights in CL... :goodvibes

The wdwforless web site deals actually look pretty darned good to me.

It appears to me that basically what you get under that package is a room discount even deeper than an AAA discount, plus a healthy discount on tickets. (It looks to be about a $25 discount for children's 3-day hoppers and $30 for adults.)

So, to break it down here are some examples. All of this assumes that the prices on that web site do NOT include tax. If they DO include tax, it's an even better deal -- far better in fact.

Assume a family of 4, 2A and 2C. Three nights with 3-day hoppers.

Beach Club:

wdwforless cost: About $1360.
Cost through CRO with AAA discount: About $1617.
Cost of rack MYW package with free dining: $1755

So you pay about $400 extra (plus tax) for 3 days of dining.

POR

wdwforless cost: About $1040.
Cost through CRO with AAA discount: About $1173
Cost of rack MYW package with free dining: $1257

So here, for a mod, you only pay about $220 (plus tax) extra for free dining.

Poly

wdwforless cost: About $1437
Cost through CRO with AAA discount: $1617.75
Cost of rack MYW package with free dining: $1785

So about $350 extra for the dining.

Bottom line -- these rates look darned good to me for someone not interested in the dining. These compare favorably to the best room only discounts ever offered by WDW. I'm actually a little skeptical about whether these are right -- like maybe the tickets aren't really hoppers (the prices look close to the cost of base without hopping). I also wonder whether these percentages hold up as you add more days.

Thanks Lark & Grammy!
I am feeling better about this & having others do the math with me and come out to the same conclusion I feel better about this trip!
I am curious what the room only rates are though... ;)

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately those dates wouldn't work for us or I'd take a closer look at it.

The link the OP originally posted is no longer there :confused3 Does anyone know if this is a reputable site?

I looked up the "who is" information for the website. It is listed by domain's by proxie-so does not have the companies name or contact information listed.

I would be a more than a little leary about a company that hides their identity.

I'm very curious about this, also. I emailed them about the Fundraiser package, requested a quote for 8 nights at AKL with the 3 day hoppers and the price I was just emailed is quoted at a little over $1200 cheaper than the quote from WDW's site. Hmmmm....
Right now I have 4 nights at CSR and 4 nights at AKL booked, with 5 day hoppers and the free dining and it's about $400 more than this package deal, so I guess I'll stick with what I have because adding two more days' park tickets and food would put me over. But if the free dining plan weren't available I'd probably go ahead and try this company out.
I got an email with a name, phone numbers, AIM screen name, etc. so I don't think anyone is hiding.

I tried to open the site map and it doesn't exist. I would check this out before giving them your personal info.

I'm guessing they had to pull the original link to the fundraiser after getting swamped with requests. It did sound like a good deal..not good enough for me, but if I didn't have the free dining I would have investigated it further.

The original fund raiser "deal" disappeared and so did their site map. Let the buyer beware.

I have worked with this company before and they were great. There is nothing "shady" about them. I would use them again for my next trip and I recommend them to all of my friends.

I'm pretty sure that this is the old DisneyDollarLESS site - they were totally above-board when I was on their mailing list - I remember winning a 2-foot Mickey Mouse stuffed animal at one point from them.

Looking at your posts it looks almost like you work for them! Do you? My problem is disappearing links..Not a good sign...

I got my quote request back from them as well- I am guessing the info on the site is gone b/c in the responce I got back from them that this offer has limited space- possibly they have sold out some or all of their packages already? Maybe they are updating the information? I will ask them though... :goodvibes it seems to be benifiting Austism Research, so I am sure they must have had a strong responce from it.

I am not having a problem with the link though...
the site map is there... :confused3

No, thats the Magic For Less, and they are a very reputable Earmarked Agency. Nowhere on this site does it say exactly who these people are, and they are registered by Proxy so you cannot get the info on who actually owns the site.

Makes me think something is shady if they cannot list who they are, or they are hiding doing these specials from Disney themselves. Either way I agree with LakeAriel-Buyer Beware.
