We tried to ask for him at Mickey's house last time we were at DL, but he was out on the boat. ;)
I really want to get a picture with him since he is my favorite Mickey so just wondering if anyone knows whether he has docked he's steamboat lately and shown up for pictures?
TIA

We saw him driving the Mark Twain during Fantasmic!, but that was the only time I have ever seen him anywhere in the park. I've never been "hunting" him though!

That's the only time we have seen him too. I didn't know he was available otherwise.

A picture with him would be so cool though! :thumbsup2

We had him greet us in Mickey's house. The whole set is black and white, ti's really cool.

Since they admit people much faster than they "should", faster than it would take for the group in front to have all pictures taken, I figure there's some character magic going on with Mickey in his house. I figure one group will get Steamboat, another group will meet Sorcerer, etc etc. So I figure that one could ask there, when the CM is admitting you to the hallway to the picture-taking rooms after the screening room, if you could meet Steamboat Willie...

:goodvibesThis is what I did on our last visit. I asked the CM when we were closer to the front of the line (2-3 families ahead of us). The CM left to ask another CM, and that is when he said that Steamboat Willie had left on the ship already. Bummer...
I think you are right that there are a few Mickey's...it's just Willie wasn't one of those that time.
I will try again this trip...just wondering if anyone else had seen him at Mickey's House recently.

The last I heard, he was secretly dating Minnie Mouse, and that is because Mickey, is just taking too long to propose to her. When they (Mickey and Minnie) went on a Disney cruise, and all was quiet, with exception of a gentle breeze that was wafting across their facials, and the moon was full, as was the wolf bane. She really thought that this time, he was going to propose to her. Well he did not. Instead, he gave her a charm bracelet, with none other than his likeness on said bracelet. So she just gave a great big sigh, and said thank you. Then she told him that she has a headache. And not to disturb her for the rest of the night. Later on she was found at the dessert buffet table, drowning her sorrows at the chocolate fountain, which was being chased with lemon drops, a few Cosmo's and then followed by Steam Boat Willie's all time favorite, Jack Daniels.
Well when word reached Mickey Mouse, the next day... he was none too happy. Because only he is allowed to become a bit tipsy. For he is a manly man kind of a mouse.
It was a very interesting rest of the cruise. Two solid weeks of I have a head ache. Leave me alone, you don't understand me. You never listen to me, you care more about your work than me, (This all coming from Minnie to Mickey) I am going to tell your mother, and my mother. You don't care about my feelings. I would not be driven to Chocolate and Vodka if you would just propose to me. As she rolls her eyes at him, as if they were daggers followed by an exclamation point. And who says they are not married?
Now... Steam boat Willie, has always been waiting in the wings for her. Just waiting for the perfect time to well make his mouse move. So he did. As a result, he has been tardy for his appearances at Disneyland. And he cuts short all too often his character meet and greets. And it is getting harder and harder to negotiate with him, when it comes to re-newing his contract. All because he is just so distracted by his true mouse love for Minnie. Will Willie stop being a naughty worker? Will Mickey ever propose to his true love?
Will Minnie really tell everyone about their woes? Will she ever be the same? Will she stop going on chocolate and vodka binges? Will she and Mickey and Willie need to attend AA? Stay tuned for the ongoing saga of the mouse that roared!

I didn't know there was a steamboat willie mickey!! i only knew about the band leader, sorcerer, and classic normal (?) mickey! i did hear that they rotate which mickey each groups sees though.
i would love to meet the steamboat one.

I didn't know there was multiple Mickeys at one time

when we visited earlier in the year we didn't bother meeting Mickey as we queued for nearly two hours at WDW

Might give it a go when we come back next year

By chance, we met Steamboat Willie in June 2010 (and was THRILLED because I was wearing my 1920s-style cloche hat and everything ;) ). Besides him, I believe I've only ever met Sorcerer Mickey....but we don't make it a point to see Mickey every trip or anything.

How odd for the CMs to say Steamboat Willie Mickey was out on the boat...sounds like they were actually acknowledging there are multiple Mickeys? I would guess that not every room is necessarily running every day, and even if they had 3 rooms running, when a Mickey needed a break they might just close that Mickey's room, versus swapping another Mickey in while the first one took a break.

Sheesh. I've never even been lucky enough to see Sorcerer Mickey, let alone Steamboat Willie! I may just have to ask this year when I'm there and hope that I get lucky.

:rotfl2: You have a very good arguement and may just be right...
LOVE the chocolate and vodka line and oddly that sounds very good right now!

:thumbsup2- Thanks, hopefully he has stayed put and not gotten back on the ship. I do know Minnies house is being refurbed so maybe Willie is helping as a handyman...to win her affection according to Gisele's story.

We saw Sorcerer many times and the last time we saw Hollywood? Mickey
