Is it appropriate for DD4 & DS8? Their last two movies were NEMO and Rugrats go Wild. I haven't seen any reviews of this movie and I'm not sure if we should take them????

Opinions??

You should be fine. There are a couple of jokes that will definitely go over the head of four year old, and probably 8 year old unless someone explains it.

Example: Sinbad is telling a story to the female lead about how he once a knife at his throat, a knife at his heart and a knife at his (he pauses) then exclaims "Pickles and Eggs! Thats what we eat here on the ship. We have plenty of pickles and eggs."

That's about the worst of it. Other than that it was a cute movie. My son(10) enjoyed it.

Have fun!

Anything has to be better than Rugarts Go Wild I was bored stift at that one!

And I usually love animated movies.

Sinbad was really good. Except for a few comments that might be over young children's heads it will be fine for almost any age. I'm 20ish and I saw it alone and enjoyed it.

my girls have no interest in seeing it.

it rained on thursday, and the camps all sent their kids to the movies. younger dd (going into 6th grade) saw Nemo. the boys her age saw Sinbad. she says the girls loved Nemo but the boys hated Sinbad.

older dd (going into 8th grade) goes to a different camp. she saw Legally blonde. She says the 7th graders were stuck with Sinbad.

the joke is that it's a SIN they made such a BAD movie.

If you're going to go, make it soon. Sinbad had a poor opening weekend and may not be around for much longer.

In our group we had a 11 yo girl, my 9 yo dd and my 7 yo son. We loved it. It's gotten good reviews from nearly all the critics (I haven't seen a negative one yet). It's full of action and adventure, with lots of humor thrown in. I bet your sons would like it too.

DBF and I through it was ok at best(we liked the Let's get rich line)

it was DS 6th Birthday and that is what he wanted to do since his party is not til Weds.

It was a very good movie and both my son and my nephrew(7)loved this film.

Athough the animation pales in comparsion to Pixars(but then again who's does not) the movie was very entertaining and I enjoyed it alot.
