Has anyone seen my car keys?

We've looked everywhere! Turned the house upside-down!

They have to be here somewhere.....DS used my van last night, to help his dad, who's moving to a new condo. The van hasn't left the driveway since DS got home. He swears he put them in the "key dish" by the front door on his way into the house.

ARGGGGG!!!

Does this kind of stuff happen to anyone else, or is it just me?

They're in the hamper underneath your ds's towel he used when he got out of the shower.

That's where mine ended up one day last week with the car doors locked of course!

Happens here ALL of the time!

If there could only be a pager on our keys like there is on our portable phones.

And wouldn't it be a hoot if they WERE where Shannon said they are. It makes perfect sense to me!

I actually already checked the hamper, sad but true!

And they're not in the ignition....I had to use the spare key (I guess I should be happy I could FIND the spare key!) to take the kids to school this morning.

I'm going to check under my bed....the dog swears he didn't take them, and he's never done so before (he prefers leather to metal, to chew on) but I guess there's a first time for everything.

Did you look in the fridge? I found John's right by the milk the other day, after he had a major fit tearing up the house looking for them.

Why do you think I got myself a second set of keys for myself? DH has one set for both cars, I got another one and then I have a third set of house and car keys always here, except the house key is in the shed in case I lock myself out.

I have my Chicago Mickey on my keychain now...it shows up really good where ever it is. It also makes quite the fashion statement, hanging out of my pocket.

Did you check the breadbox? That's a little joke in our house (we don't have a breadbox)...Mom lost her keys for a week many years ago, and eventually found them in the breadbox.

Oh Bet, it seems there has been a rash of thefts in the area of the DIS. Mark this one down next to the string of lights Christine and I stole...I mean were accused of stealing from Beauty, yeah accused!! I didn't do it I tell ya, I'm innocent!!!

DH has lost his keys in the couch cushions multiple times. They somehow fall out of his pocket when he sits there and the couch 'eats' them.

Well, I'm giving up for now, and going to work. Thank goodness I do have a spare house and car key, but there are other keys that will need to be replaced if this set doesn't turn up! ARGGGG! I just can't imagine where they could be!

My brother is always misplacing his keys. But he gets mad (red headed temper mad) when he can not find them right away.

I could never find my keys, so when we moved into our new house we put a key holder right by the door that comes in from the garage. I now faithfully hang them there so I know where they are.

Anyways, have you checked the garage floor? Maybe they dropped on the way in the house?
I have also found mine in the bathroom, laundry room, seat of the van,kitchen counter, and the dogs kennel! Yes, once one of my dogs took them and hid them under her blanket!

Maybe they are with my DD's Gameboy Advance. She swears that she was playing it while watching TV upstairs, and just put it down on the floor, then POOF, it has been missing since Saturday.


Reminds me of that old George Carlin monologue, "Where do things that are lost GO?"

This happens to me all the time... my DH could come here and tell you a story or two about me and losing my keys. They usually show up in my purse or better yet, in the lock on the door

Are they with my DD's sneakers that just up and walked away...all by themselves? Did your DS leave the house today and take them with him?

MY DH went to work one day, took my keys with him on a trip to NJ. He was invlolved in an accident that morning and I had to hitch a ride with his supervisor to pick hime up at the hospital in NJ.

Did they fall under the table where the "key dish" is? Are they in the driveway, garage or walkway in to the house? Good Luck...I hope they turn up soon.
