Has anyone regretted going to Hoop-De-Doo?

Yup- the all you can drink beer (on tap) and wine is included on the DDP.

When we went the last time in July '07, we were the second show and I thought the food was very poor. The ribs were very fatty and the dessert was ok. The cornbread was delicious. The show is pretty much the same since I saw it in the 80's. My kids love it though. This year we are going to try the Luau though. We have never been to that one and figured give it a try as I have been to the Hoop De-doo 4 times.

We debated using the 2 TS to do HDD last year and decided to give it a shot. None of us (me, DH, or DD6) regret it at all! I would definitely do it again sometime!

no regrets loved it the one I did not like was the BBq we actually left early! the luau was also really nice!

While I'm sure there must be somebody that has regretted going to HDD, they are few and far between. This show gets almost universal good reviews. The food isn't great but is certainly acceptable. Its a really fun time and you're guaranteed to come out singing.

To Lucky1, my mom first saw this show in either 1988 or 1989 and loved the show back then. She stated there was a skit with Indians and the wagon and she specifically liked that part of HDD. However, the only time I attended this was 3+ years and it was just to dry of a show for me. Mom came out and stated she was really disappointed that they took the indian part of the show out as that is what she enjoyed the most. Someone else walking out at the end made a similar comment about indians in a past show as well.

We didn't not like it at all.

The food was just average. Dessert was terrible. The cake was very grainy - almost like putting whipped cream on cornbread. The ribs were the best thing offered, and they were not great. The sangria tasted like it contained some furniture polish.

Our boys were 5 and 7, and they hated the show. They kept asking why we were there. We really tried to like it, but we just didn't. We are all about silly humor - heck, we watch SpongeBob everyday at home - it just wasn't very funny.

Another drawback was that the bathrooms are outside. I had to sneak out with DS and go to the building next door to take him to the bathroom. Not fun.

The entire night I kept asking myself why this show is so popular? I just don't get it. There is so much other entertainment at Disney that is included with your park tickets that I just can't justify paying extra for this show. It just didn't work for us.[/QUOTE]

EXACTLY how we felt. I did not like this show in the least.

I would never try to talk anyone out of going b/c since so many people like it there is a good chance you may too.

For me though, I was just BORED out of my mind. I guess I was thinking there would be some excitment in the show but there was not. I really walked out thinking I had just totally missed something. I had no idea why people gave such rave reviews about it. I did not laugh one single time which shocked me b/c I love corny humor usually.

Now on the other hand my hubby liked it ok but is in no hurry to do it again. He liked the food pretty good..lol

I might would do it again if it were just one ts credit simply for something different to do but in my opinion it is not worth 2.
