I am thinking of reading it. Is it very upsetting?

I guess it depends on what you consider upsetting. I read it and thought it was an excellent book. If you could handle The Crucible, then you should be able to handle it.

I guess I should clarify what I mean by upsetting. I get physically ill when I read books about things like the Salem Witch trials or things that happened to black people.

I will read them, and the books are good, but I get ill. My stomach cramps up, and I feel sick. I hate that these things were done to innocent people.

So, I am hearing that this book is excellent, so I want to read it. I just want to know if I should prepare myself for the stomach aches.

It's very good, you may get the stomach pains you are worried about...while it's not gory or anything, it's sad. They talk about young children being targeted. I found it to be slightly upsetting.

I can't say if it will make you ill or not, but I did really enjoy reading it.
