Has anyone read "Marley & Me"? Possible Spoilers.

I just finished reading this book last night and bawled and bawled. My dh said he never saw me like that before. I just couldn't stop.

If you have a run, do not walk to get this book. It's amazingly written and I could have sworn he was writing about my lab Jefferson and my family. It was really bizarre how similar our story was to his. It really got me thinking about Jefferson getting older (she's 8, going on 9) and how much I love that crazy mutt.

He's wrong though. His is not the only flunkie of obedience school. I took my Jefferson to an obedience school - 8 week program. By week 2, dh refused to go anymore b/c Jefferson embarrassed him too much. Week 4, Jefferson did NOT want to heel so she looked at me and peed more pee than I had ever seen in my life while she was just staring at me with a defiant look on her face. Needless to say, we never returned.

I LOVED that book!! My DH got it for me as a Christmas present~read it as soon as I got it. Not only do you cry but you can laugh real hard!! If anyone hasn't read it get it as soon as possible it is so worth it.

I loved that book. I also am owned by a Lab. But my Lab is nothing like Marley. He's very smart and obediant. He takes awhile to warm up to strangers because he had a traumatic puppyhood. I love my baby, all 100 plus pounds of him.

I LOVE that line! It's so true - Jefferson definitely owns me (along with my kitty McKinley) - it's definitely not the other way around!

I just heard about this book today and was going to pick it up. I was told it was funny , no warning about any tears!

I loved that book! I could not put it down. If you are a dog lover, RUN to your nearest book store and buy that book!

I just don't know if I can handle a crying book. I've had a rough week with Toby, and done enough crying over that. Maybe I'll get the book in a couple of weeks, but I've heard it's a great read.

That's a wonderful book! I laughed and I also used 1/2 a box of tissues. Someone told my hubby about the book so I picked it up right after new years and read it in one day, couldn't put it down. We have a lab mix who is a sweetie but not so bright. The book is great for anyone who has a PITA dog that they love!

I'd like to read it, but I think I need to wait a year, the pain of losing my Shetlie is still to fresh.... I'd also like to see 8 Below, but ditto for that as well.

I received that book as a christmas present. It's a GREAT book. Yes, it will make you cry a bit but most of the book is !
We have a wonderful chocolate we adore!
