Has anyone put your ME luggage tags on a box?

I just got my ME luggage tags today! WHOOOHOOO! They are the bright yellow sticky tags you wrap around your luggage handles.

But....I wanted to pack a box of stuff to bring. Has anyone else just stuck the label to a box instead? I'm thinking it should be ok??

I would think it should be fine. I would take a couple extra precautionary steps, however. If you have any unused DME tags, put a second one on the box, on a different surface. This will increase the odds someone will see that the box belongs with the DME luggage. Secondly, I would mention it to the CM when you check in at the DME Welcome Center. They'll ask if you tagged your bags, and when you say yes you should tell them one of your "bags" is a box. I don't know if that info will be useful to the people at the counter, but it surely can't hurt to tell them.

The one thing I can tell you for sure is that it is perfectly OK to do what you plan to do. As long as the airline accepts it as checked luggage, DME will accept it as checked luggage.
