Has anyone purchased Tour Guide Mike?

Does he tell you anything you cannot read on this site?

We used it this past summer--I was especially looking to ride Expedition Everest a lot with little waiting, and succeeded with Mike's help! I'm an avid Disboarder, read UG, Birnbaum. I liked Mike, though his website took some getting used to. I guess I'm such a Disney freak that I'm willing to check out everything Disney, at least once! :sunny:

I bought TGM for the first time our last trip(sept 06) and We used it mostly for the recommended days.
It was right on. If it said go to Epcot this morning...we went and Epcot was practically empty with no lines!
It did take some time getting used to the website, though.

The trip reports on the message board on his site are amazing. It really does work. We are using his suggestions for our first trip (36 more days!!) and it makes the planning fun.

He will refund you the money you spend no questions asked if you are dissatisfied. :thumbsup2

We just got back from our second trip using Mike's advice. We love TGM! When we're going for a long trip, we always subscribe. If we're just going for a few days, we'll wing it. But we've always found his best days/morning/afternoon chart and touring plans to be right on. Also, if you're going for one of the special hard ticket events (like MNSSHP), we've found his advice to be invaluable. As others have said, though, there is SOOO much info on his site that the layout and navigation take some getting used to...it's easy to get overwhelmed at first, but read his help articles and play with it, and you'll catch on quickly enough.

Have fun planning your vacation!

We also purchased TGM and it has A LOT of information in it. The guides look really good and everyone seems to like the suggestions he gives. It's a small price to pay for the kind of advice he gives!!

I was a little skeptical about how the guy would know what park to be in on a particular day. I figured if it didn't work, I could always ask for my money back. So I bought a subscription, and we used the "which park on what day" advice. We were amazed how accurate TGM was. Each time we followed his advice, we found short lines and lower crowds. When we decided to go against his advice one day because the kids were dying to go to the MK, we were sorry. Long lines and crowds made us go back to the "plan" with TGM for the remainder of the trip. It is so worth the little amount of money. He gives great advice on resorts, tours, entertainment, best spots for parade watching, fireworks, etc. Just so much advice. I bought a renewal when we returned home for a discount. I am planning our next family trip in March and hope his advice will help with a busy time to avoid the lines.

I am using TGM for my Nov trip and it does seem that it will be worth it just for ideas and the reasons to go to a certain park on what day....I"ll let everyone know if it is correct when I get home..

We used his services on a trip a couple years ago, and everything he said was right on target. If you're worried about long lines, how to navigate the parks, and where to eat, then it's a good idea.

I recently bought TGM and changed all my plans around to follow his best parks on each day. This was no easy task since it involved changing ADR's during Christmas week! I figured since we are going at such a busy time any help and advice we can get regarding what park to go to is great. $18.95 wasn't going to break my budget so I figured it was worth a shot. I will certainly report back when I get home.

We used it for our trip this past sept and I am glad we did. Like others said, his best days guide is really one of the best things he advises you on. Every time we ended up going aginst his recommendations, we regretted it. I found the site very easy to use if you follow the main article through the first time like it tells you to.

I actually only subscribed about 2 mos before we went and I thought it may be too late to really take advantage of all the info, but I was wrong. In the grand scheme of a Disney vacation and cost, $18.95 is nothing.

We're using it for our trip in 35 days. I have a three and two year old, so we need all the advice we could get. ;)

I basically just used TGM for the which days to which parks and it really worked great. We rode several rides more than once and rarely even used a fastpass.

I"ve bought "MIke" somewhere around 5 times and it's been great every single one! Very much worth the money!

Our November trip is the 3rd time we're following Mike's advice. I'm impatient and don't like lines. Believe me if Mike's advice wasn't good,I wouldn't resubscribe.

I purchased TGM for the first time. My family and I have been going to WDW almost from the beginning. I must admit I was somewhat of a Disney planning snob. You know the type, thinks they have the best touring plans. Blah blah blah. Well the past two trips were less than perfect. I fired myself and subscribed to TGM. His advice makes such logical sense. We're using TGM's advice in December. We can't wait to try his approach.

It is worth every penny. I thought I knew everything about WDW but does help you out a lot with the planning. I just bought it a week ago and I'm really happy with TGM right now.

I was thinking of purchasing Ridemax or the UOG web subscription. Is it everyone's opinion that TGM is the best of the three?
