is it worth the money? Tell me about it please?

Are there better park dvds out there?

I purchased one through Ebay that was very in depth. It was basically someone's home footage of the different rides, which they set together with the ride music and still photos. There was another set that I have seen that was apx. $200, but this set (20 discs I think) was only $40. PM me if you would like me to send you the seller's name. The set included many rides and attractions, as well as discs for some of the retired attractions - original Figment and Horizons too! There was also a three hour tour of Disneyland Paris, parades and fire works shows.

I have his site... that's why I asked here before purchasing it...

Is the $200 one much better?

I'm impressed because this one.. parts he couldn't film I guess he put stock photos up with music.. ie hard to see areas of hauntion mansion.

Only bad thing is he didn't get electrical light parade... which I really want on tape...

I wanted to also see if anyone knew of BETTER ones or if THIs is THE one to get?

The set that I purchased not only took you on a complete "ride" through the Haunted Mansion (which did also include some still photos along the way, but they only enhanced the ride itself), but a "ride" through the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland Paris. I believe the Electrical Show is also listed as well as the SpectroMagic Parade (although it is hard to remember, there are so many different discs and I have not yet looked at all of them). For the price ($40) I had a lot of enjoyment and didn't really worry too much that I had wasted my money had the discs not been up to my standards.

I have wondered about this set as well. But Ithink I might have to find a bit more about the 40 dollar set first. :) I would love to have something to watch with the kids and remember. :goodvibes:

Did you guys want the site of the one I mentioned or the $40 one on ebay?

The one I was curious if anyone had seen is on 20dvdset.com I'm not trying to sell it I just want to know if anyone's seen it and what the quality is. If it's jumpy or bad quality or the noise is awful I don't want it.

Could someone also send me info on these. We just decided to go back to WDW after a not so fun experience in 2004 and I would love to be able to see what I missed the first time around and plan our next trip more efficiently.

Thanks!
Trish

There seem to be 2 different 20 dvd sets. I just ordered the one that is 900 minutes and has the other Disneylands on them too, like Paris and Tokyo, as well as the older rides that aren't there anymore. I never saw some of the rides so I decided to buy this one for now. This was purchased for 29.95 buy it now on ebay. The other is 49.95 and has more current things on it, as well as walk throughs of the countries of Epcot. This set is a little longer and all Walt Disney World only. On ebay they do have actual footage in the dvds that you can click on and watch to see the quality of the video. Just do a search for "disney 20 dvd set" and you'll find both kinds. I guess it depends on what you're looking for. Can't wait to get my set!

Trish I'm sorry you had a bad time your first trip... hopefully through the dis boards you'll be able to plan a great experience this time!

bord it sounds like you purchased the dvd set I was referring to... the site I referred to has clips as well.

But.. I do think I'd prefer just wdw.. does the wdw have rides of the past as well?

CinRell, I was browsing this post the other day and I've come across some dvd's that I thought I'd let you know about. I haven't posted enough to send a PM so I hope that this gets to you. The website is ******************** and there is a link for exclusive dvds. One is for the electrical parade. Hope its what you're looking for. Shu

I haven't checked pms yet so maybe you sent the address to me but if not... the address was removed from your post?

Just an FYI the ebay DVD and the 20 dvd set I was referring to is, in fact, the same set... because ebay has so many fees he has to sell them for $40 there but on his site, it's only $30.... so both sets that have gotten good reviews are the same *yay!*
