Has Anyone Participated in a Survey?

When the official site was revamped not long ago I clicked on a link to take a survey and agreed to participate in a research panel. I didn't think much of it at the time, but received an email today inviting me to take part in an in person research discussion in my area next month.

Just wondered if anyone here had participated in something like this before and what it was like?

I got the same email and immediately sent them my phone number, hope they call me, sounds like fun and they pay you, can't beat that!!

DH and I participated in a survey at Epcot in Jan. I am very happy to be getting email codes from disney now! Yes, it was worth it!

No, no the OP lives in Texas and so do I and we both got these because they are doing a focus group in Dallas on August 11 and were looking for participants, they are even paying you to attend.

I sent my phone number too........anxious to hear what it's all about! The money is a nice perk too. Of course I'd probably offer up my opinions for free, but they don't have to know that.

I'm going to the lake this weekend where I won't have phone service, I hope they don't decide to call on Sat or Sun. I really doubt they will though. I'm guessing they will call Monday if they are even going to call.

Hi guys!
I got the call today. I can't wait and guess where the extra cash is going? Right back to Disney, of course. The survey will be August 11th at 7:45 PM and it's located near Spring Valley and the Dallas North Tollway. I have done other surveys for other products and services in the past and it's a great source of easy money for a couple of hours of giving someone my two cents which I normally do anyway whether they want it or not.
Kind of funny too that on the way home I got another call from a differnt marketing company doing a dof food survey but I didn't qualify for that one. They already had enough people on the panel that mainly bought one particular brand of dog food. That's the thing about doing these surveys once you get on their phone or email lists, they do call you but you don't always get picked because they normally have very strict guidelines of the cross section of people the company hiring them is looking for. Hope more of you get some calls.

I got the call yesterday at about 8:30am or so. She was really nice, and I'll be in the 8pm group.

Does anyone know what the dress will be that night? I'm guessing casual, but then again...maybe not?

I still haven't gotten the phone call. I will be so disappointed if I don't hear something.

Interesting though.........I did get another email yesterday to take part in an online survey. I got to test a prototype for a new reservation system. That was pretty cool. I still want to get that call though!

I haven't gotten a call either and I did get that online survey also, I too will be heartbroken if I don't get a call, oh well!!

I received an email asking me to participate in the focus group. I received a phone call today and i'M going into NYC on Wednesday afternoon for 2 hours. The focus group sounds great and I'm getting paid $100 to talk about my favorite subject!

Anyone else going on Wednesday?
