I am a scrapper, I actually own a LSS and was thinking of making my own autograph book or maybe buying a plain spiral bound album and decorating the cover. Has anyone ever made their own book?

I have been asking my customers what they do and everyone seems to have a different method. One lady brought up a good point that if I made a fancy one, it might get damaged from all of the handling or if it rains, it could get damaged.

Our last trip i used the demin 7x7 CM book and it worked great! this trip I'm using the Mickey 7x7 book. the characters love seeing something different and get really creative when they sign it! I kept my album in a plastic zip lock in case of rain and lucky for us there wasn't any. I say go for it my kids lov looking at it and it was fun to come home and add pictures.

I've made ones for each trip, my DD helps and it is one of our favorite "getting ready for Disney" activities. Here is our last one. :sunny:

Very cute book!!!!

I think I am going to make my own. I have two daughters (10 and 6) and they are really looking forward to getting autographs. I also read somewhere that if the character sees a "special" autograph book, they tend to interact more with the child.

Maybe I will make them and give them as a Christmas gift, kill two birds with one stone!!!!

Thank you and it is absolutely true about the extra interactions. The characters all loved to see their own "special pages", Jasmine even ran over to show Aladdin and Genie their pages; they all came back over together to sign and we got a picture of DD with all three at once!

DD and I just finished decorating the CM Mickey 7x7 for our upcoming trip...

I always use CM 7 x 7. I take the book filled with blank pages and have the characters sign on one side. Then when we get home, I add the picture to the other side and decorate.

The autographs you get using a big page is so much better than using those little pages from the books they sell at DL!

Here are a few examples: (this is the first one I did several years ago before CM made 7 x 7, I think it's 5 x 7)

Yes please I love to see others handiwork !!!

ok, another question. How do you guys decide which characters to decorate the pages for? What do you do if you happen to run into a character that is not highlighted in your book?

I am going to try to get into the Princess breakfast and Chef mickey's so I know I will be interacting with those characters provided I get the reservations that I am hoping for.

I just made sure to leave plenty of plain pages. We still decorated them, but just not character specific, you know?

Here are a few recent ones I did from our Dec 2004 trip:
