I made one for each of my kids and it ended up being a pain. We carried them around and they were heavey and got worn pretty quick. Then when I tried to put pics of the kids in it I didnt have the pic the way I needed it (horizontal or vertical). Next time I will be taking card stock cut into the size I want and have the characters sign those and then put them together accordingly.
I've made them for 3 trips. They were great converstion starters with the characters. I'll try to get some pictures up shortly.
Those are great!! I love the Lightning McQueen--I've never had the patience to piece him together!
I saw where you wrote that he didn't sign. My DS (2) loves Lightning, and when we went last trip (June '10), I was saying to the CM, "Oh, how I wish he had a stamp or something". The CM said that they will let (and do for a lot of people) you "rub" the autograph card/page/book on his tire and get the tire imprint! Just a thought. . .

I make alot of my scrapbook LOs ahead of time
I know for the World Showcase I need one picture 5x7 & 4 regular size - so that is 5 pictures - I will take 7 to 10 pictures in each land to make sure I get good ones for my books - if I have extra ones that are good then they can go in my extra pages.
for Character greets - I try to get a pic of the Character while we are in line between kids
I do take alot of pictures but a take my laptop with me & upload my pictures almost nightly then I crop while looking at my books (yeah I make up several for a trip - next trip has 4 but might get a 5th) then I know which way to crop
That's a really cute autograph book!!! You might want to add a few blank pages in the back incase you come across a character you hadn't made a page for.
I had the same issue - first time we went to DL I spent hours and i mean hours working on autograph books. Got to the park and had to carry these books around I was more concerned about the books getting wrecked then I was about the kids getting lost.Yes I got a lot of compliments on the book but when I started scrapping the memories they autograph pages didn't fit with either the color scheme or layout design. On our next trip I purchased a notebook with plain white paper. Enjoyed the ease of the notebooks.
So my suggestion if you are planning on using the autographs in a scrap book wait to be creative until you are ready to scrap.
