Has anyone heard of and/or used a 30% discount at deluxes being over 60 years old?

Supposedly, there may be a discount available for seniors which might be good all year round. I got this info from another poster on another board; so, I decided to ask here.

Maybe, this discount includes other resorts like values and mods at a smaller discount.

Please share if you know more.

I think someone was pulling your leg Unless they booked through AAPR but we been going since my DH & myself turned 60 & no discount. I would like to think they would give something off to over 60 & numerous times you been but Disney is not going to do it. My view only

I was told no a couple of years ago, when HD turn 60. Maybe AARP could work something out with WDW.pixie dust

There is currently a general public room discount for the summer season at deluxe resorts and villas for stays most dates 5/29 to 8/13/11, book by 5/28/11. Depending on the resort, 25% or 30% off. Poly, WL, and AKL are 25% off, all others 30% off. No moderates or values are included in this offer. These can booked as room only or in a package.

Perhaps this is what you are referring to. It's open to everyone, rooms at these discounts are limited and may not be available for every resort on every day. To my knowledge Disney does not offer any senior discounts. On the other board, perhaps the poster was stating their wish list?

I have a friend who stays at the Dolphin and he said that when you make on-line reservations, there is a place to check off for Sr. discount. If there is one available, they will aplly it. Not sure if it is just certain times but he has used it a few times..

the dolphin and swan are on property but NOT Disney properties (hence no Disney's magical express etc) There is no senor discount, but they do offer discounts in general all the time so really there is not need for a discount. the only group that does get a discount all year no matter what is AAA on room onlys, and military on room only and packages.
