Has anyone heard about a change planned regarding The Alien Encounter being converted

to some type of an "Adventure with Stitch"? DS is home and was saying he heard that from a friend of his who was a CM He figured I would know all about it

I have not heard anything..........but have to say if they do that, it would be fine with me... Alien Encounter scares the living daylights out of me... I have done it twice and said never again...all the things I like best.. being in the dark, strapped down and monsters breathing on me... Yikes......I wonder if they will change it to Adventure with Stitch.. that would be cool..

Thanks for the information guys. I think if its done it will fit in much better with the MK theming. Although I enjoyed Alien Encounter myself, it is a little over the top for MK IMHO.

I have never done AE, heard too much negative about it here on the boards. Don't like pitch black claustrophobic places. I think it is the only ride/attraction I have not gone on because of just really not wanting to do it.

Well, I told my 5 year old daughter and she smiled & then proceeded to pretend to pass out (she is so dramatic) so I think she is happy about the plan. She very well could be Stitch's biggest fan!

Keep in mind that wdwmagic reports that the change won't happen until 2004. While I don't mind AE the way it is, (I think it's fun) adding a Stitch theme to it makes sense, as Patrick said.

While I happen to like AE (it actually is funny to me at this point) I am glad to see that it will be changed. I think it isn't very "Disney-llike" and I think Stitch will fit in much better than the way it currently is. Not one I will miss or be sorry to see changed.

I've always thought Alien Encounter was kind of lame, so it wouldn't bother me if they changed it to something else.

some poor person thinks I must look very motherly and asks me the question.....is this scary......is it bad.....am I going to yell......so I tell them in my sweet motherly voice...of course not...it is a fun ride and you will enjoy it soooooooo much......hehehe.....so once a boy about 12 decides to also sit next to me.....hehehe.....when the lights go out and the screaming starts....his hand was next to my hand and I grabbed his and he screamed bloody murder.....then.....the next time a girl from mexico asked me the same thing....she said....can I please sit next to you.....and I start of course ....she must be 18 or so.....and then the lights go out and I am sitting there .....oh so ready......and then funny thing happened.......she grabbed my arm so bad that I had black and blues on it....I laughed so hard after this one.....I did promise dear husband that I would not look motherly anymore outside the AE......so I have not had to adopt any more people

I LOVE AE the way it is...am I the only one??? If they add Stitch I suppose it'll be okay since I'm a big Stitch fan, but I don't want them to take away Skippy because before Stitch came along he held the place of my favorite alien. I still love Skippy to death and he's one of the reason AE is my favorite ride. It is ALWAYS the first thing I do when I go to MK. So, I kinda have mixed feelings about this.

I hope they totally redo the attraction, I don't like it one bit. And if they're going to add Stitch to it, I hope they change it so it's not so scary. It's bad enough that it's frightening now, but to add a "cute little alien creature" that kids love to such a scary attraction just makes it even more bothersom to me. But if they lighten up on the fear factor, thumbs up for a change from me. Don't get me started on how much I hate AE.

You are not alone. I love AE. I only got to ride once during our last trip because it freaked DS out. Next time we're there I'll send him to ride Buzz while I visit Skippy.

My 9 yo dd and I happen to love Alien just the way it is. We always try to sit down in front. And if you have an unsuspecting new rider....heh, heh, heh. Of course, Stitch would be cool too.
