Has anyone had this happen on the TTA

Ellen's Energy Ride has not closed, but word is that it will be closed pretty soon (like maybe as early as this fall) to make way for a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction.

GMR is The Great Movie Ride. The contract between Disney and Turner Classic Movies is set to expire in 2018, and there are rumors that neither Disney or TCM are interested in renewing it, and thus the attraction will close in 2018, and something else will take it's place. The rumor states that the facade of the Chinese Theater would remain, but the show building would be gutted and reused for something else.

Haven't had it happen on TTA but we had HM stop and we all had to be walked out. I think it can happen on most any ride on property. Thankfully it's not a really common occurrence, considering how many hours they are operating at least.
I did think, while riding Peter Pan shortly after we had to exit HM, that would be one difficult ride to be escorted out of.

@Tomh - I've heard it will become "The Great Mickey Ride" if it does indeed get re-themed.

In regarded to TTA, we also experienced some bumping in July...it was a little jarring, but not real crashing.

Have never experienced that on TTA. I ride at least 4-6 times each time I am in MK but I am not there nearly as often as most on these boards :guilty: In fact the only ride I have ever been evacuated from was BTMRR. And I've only had a few stop and waits on any attraction. I think overall for the amount of use each attraction gets the safety record is pretty good. A bit alarming over the crashing on TTA though.

Yes - We experienced this last year! Not in Space Mtn, but closer to the unloading station.
Multiple TTA cars crashed into one another - and it was not fun, btw.
One lady fell from her seat onto the floor of her ride vehicle.
Another person from our party experienced whiplash.
No CMs attended to the crashed vehicles or injured guests - at all. We just remained seated until the ride resumed.
Very disappointing.

We got stuck right above Mickey's Star Traders in December for about 10 minutes and were evacuated off of it in May. I have ridden it God knows how many times and that was the first I ever had to exit. I have visited numerous times a year since the 80s. Seems this is becoming more and more common for the TTA sadly.

We've experience numerous stops, but never had another train of cars come close or hit us. We've been stopped inside space mountain in that one section that is so dark, it was at night so it was pitch black. It was kind of cool. They turned all the lights on after about three minutes. But again, no cars struck ours. That's alarming!

That's crazy. I'm not getting why, if the ride stops, that cars would still be moving? Shouldn't everything come to a stop simultaneously?

we were stuck on space mountain too- about halfway through the lift, we were stuck there for about 30 minutes until the lights turned on and we were evacuated.

GMR(Great Movie Ride) is being rumored to be changed. They are closing Ellen's Energy Adventure near Christmas. :(

I've never been able to see the end of Ellen's Energy Ride. Both times we rode it, the ride broke down and we had to be evacuated.

Currently on the TTA and just had no less then 6 vehicles crash into a back up. When they collided they hit HARD like they didn't slow down at all. It threw you forward with each vehicle that hit. It was scary cause it all happened while in the Space Mountain section. It also didn't help the speakers announcing what was going on wasn't working loud enough.

Finally able to upload the video to photobucket. It only shows part of the back up. I realized while exiting I should video this mess.

Sorry, what does TTA stand for? I'm trying to figure out which ride you are talking about. It looks like the people mover ride?

Sounds like the censors are broken. Maybe it has something to do with that part in Space Mountain. That ride was mot designed to be walled up like that. Have they uncovered the windows that are there yet? Last time I rode it was pitch black in there with no view of the ride.

The ride does not sound safe if it's crashing like that.
