Has anyone had the nerve to ask the restaurants

not on the plan in 2007 why they are not in the plan anymore. I would love to hear the responses. Did you ask the managers, wait staff, etc?

There have been theories such as the contracts for the non owned Disney restaurants aren't up yet; so, no negoititations have started to include those restaurants right now for 2007. Others say Disney wants it to be only Disney establishments. Others say Disney is taking too big of a cut to be on the plan and the non own restaurants don't want to be on it.

Is there a scoop out there? Anyone willing to share?

The scoop is, they are all back on the list for 2007. This same thing happened last year too, with the contracts pending so the list was incomplete when first put out.

It was simply a situation where negotiations were not complete with all of the restaurants at the time the brochure was printed, nothing more.

I know they're still in the process of working out the restaurants, and that this happened last year, but I have to wonder why they would release the list, knowing that it was incomplete and would cause these issues.

Releasing the brochure did not cause any issues, the Internet did. I seriously doubt the majority of people that will purchase the plan for 2007 even knew about it. As with many things Disney, the forums have a tendacy to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

They released the brochure so that they could book the plan for 2007 trips, if they had held up bookings due to an incomplete brochure, everyone would have complained about that too.
