into Disneyland? We've never had a problem, but a friend just told me during their trip in May they weren't allowing any food or drinks past the security check. We only normally bring in snacks and water, please tell me this is ok! We will go broke trying to keep the kids fed otherwise!

Never had a problem! I always bring soda and water into the parks, and we keep small packages of snacks in our backpack. Never had a comment, even with the loose fruit (apples, oranges) we bring from the continental breakfasts at the hotel.

THANK YOU!! That's been my experience too, but after my friends comments I had to make sure.

We were just there last week and we brought in water and snacks for the kids. We did not have any problem. I had one water bottle in the stroller and 2 more in a small back pack with some snacks and no one ever said anything. Now I didn't take in large amounts but plently to feed my 5 kids esp. the 2 in strollers. I think water is a must and as long as it is in a clear bottle they can't refuse that.

Was just there a few weeks ago. Took in water, juice, trail mix, crackers, cookies. Can't remember what else, but all the CM said was you got some good treats in there. :rotfl2:

I regularly bring water and snacks including animal crackers, fruit snacks, granola bars and pb&j...I have never had a problem, I wouldn't worry too much about it, just don't bring a bucket of KFC with all the fixings :goodvibes

We have never had a problem. We always take in water, gatorade and snacks. BUT, on our last trip over the summer we were going back into the park from Downtown Disney to upgrade to Annual Passports the people in front of us were being told that they couldn't bring in there loaves of bread and cooler full of cold cuts to make there sandwiches in the park. Oh did I mention that they also had some bags of other groceries. They had their stroller stocked. So, I guess it just depends on what you are bringing in.

You are allowed water bottles and some snacks....but nothing in a glass container.

We never had a problem at WDW bringing snacks and water bottles, but I also was wondering about DL. I'm glad to hear we can bring those things.

I've never been turned away, and we usually bring a 6-pack sized soft-sided cooler bag full of Capri Suns, and snacks and things in the other pockets for the kids. And either me or DH is always wearing the Camelback (a lifesaver, everyone should take one before paying $2.75 for a bottle of water!) They have never said one word to us about it.

On a side note, I love when people stare at my Dr. Pepper in amazement at the park!!

We always bring in snacks. Sometimes its just a few things in a fanny pack. Other times if we are going with a larger group or mostly with persons who haven't been in a while, we bring a back pack with more snacks. Generally water, trail mix, cheese and cracker packs, and whatever other kinds of treats we can find in not squishing packages. We have never been told anything before. Only once I was asked what was in the bottom of the pack. But that was just because it was a hard container of pringles. Told him what it was, he smiled and told us to have a great day. :rolleyes1 My sister in law is the queen of packing snacks to take into the park with her. And I can't blame her, with 3 hungry boys and my brother to feed all day in the park....she'd go broke from the churros alone. Trust me though, Disney gets more than enough of my money even with me bringing in my snacks. The sweetpea can never have enough Mickey bars, lol :mickeybar

The security check points arent even near the entrance of the park. We had to pass through Security tents just to go to downtown disney when we stayed in a hotel on Harbor. Theres no way for them to know if you are passing through or going to one of the two parks. For this reason who could anyone ever be stoped from bringing in any food or drinks past security.
