Has anyone had experience with Airtran from Lehigh Valley/Allentown Aiport (ABE)

We just used Airtran in early January (NYD and return 1/8) and had great, on-time flights with them from ABE. We usually make a 2 hr trek to PHL and fly SWA, however, the hour drive and smaller airport were very nice and I'm quite sure we'll do again. Currently, AT only has flights on Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun and only one of each of those days. However, upon checking the schedule for the summer months, it appears they are adding more flights to/from ABE and then in September, back to one flight. The summer schedule shows a few connecting flights and I believe, one nonstop flight......if I recall correctly, maybe 4 flights per day?

WoW, guess I'm going to have lots of company on my July trip there.

Hooray...just booked our flights for Nov. $59 down & $98 back. I was gonna try and wait to see if the flight back dropped in price but it is on the Mon. before T'giving so I didn't want to take my chances!

I have noticed that the price did drop to $59 for my dates but true to Airtran fashion they have changed the time of the flight down to Orlando.
Instead of leaving at 4:25 it now leaves at 5:40. At this point I am fine with that as I had not planned to do a lot my first night any way.
Since the park hours for Sept are now posted I saw that when I arrive on 9/5the MK has its last EMH that night and is open until 1:00 am.
I just hope that they will not take away my non-stop flight.

Just flew both Allegiant & Airtran from ABE. We flew down on Allegiant last Tuesday on the 7:35pm flight. I got the flight for $39.99 & I got what I paid for. I was not impressed, but for $39.99 I wasn't expecting much! We did not pre-pay for seats, they were assigned at the airport. The flight was full but we got there 2 hours ahead, and were seated together. Boarding was chaos - and they weren't trying to control the hoardes of people that rushed up as soon as the gates opened. They were letting everyone on at once, not checking what area/zone they were in. The plane was dirty from the last flight & the crew was indifferent. I never saw any of them smile. They only offer snacks & drinks to purchase, nothing for free. The flight didn't take off til almost 10pm BUT that wasn't Allegiant's fault, it was a weather delay & then they had to de-ice.

We flew from from MCO on Airtran. We didn't have any schedule changes at all with them since we booked. Took off on time, boarding went smoothly & people trying to zone-jump to get on more quickly were turned away (as they should be). I used vouchers to pre-purchase premium seating & Priority Boarding. We boarded first in Zone 1. Plane was clean, crew was nice & they even gave free refills on drinks & pretzels. Had paid $89 for that leg of the flight.

I just booked Airtran down to MCO for October at $59. I need to get back on a Thursday, of course the 1 day AT doesn't fly at ABE. Allegiant does, but like someone else said, they leave MCO at 7:50am - no way am I getting on ME at 4:50AM on my last day! Looks like I will have to book another carrier with a stop.

Thanks for your report TaraPA, I appreciate it. I have always found Airtran's customer service to be good, just hate the time changes.
I am looking forward to flying from ABE this September. It may be a nice change from flying from PHL.
