Of course they say that! It's super easy to take off with the acetone on the cotton balls and the tin foil squares. You don't need the cotton ball very wet either. The acetone is drying, so after removing the old gel, I apply some solor oil.
They want you to buy their little sleeves to remove them, and the salons want you to come back again...that is why they say you can't do it yourself.
My salon does it the same way I do at home, the acetone, cotton balls and tin foil. Works like a charm & easy to do.
