Has anyone had cnd shellac manicure done

Of course they say that! It's super easy to take off with the acetone on the cotton balls and the tin foil squares. You don't need the cotton ball very wet either. The acetone is drying, so after removing the old gel, I apply some solor oil.

They want you to buy their little sleeves to remove them, and the salons want you to come back again...that is why they say you can't do it yourself.

My salon does it the same way I do at home, the acetone, cotton balls and tin foil. Works like a charm & easy to do.

You can get the shellac at Amazon or ebay. You need bottom, color and top coat. You can also get the UV lights this way, but I got mine at Sally Beauty Supply. I got the one that explicitly said it cures gel nails.

It's a bit of an investment up front, but saves tons of money in salon visits afterward. It did take some practice. I tend to put on coats that are too thick, then it glumps at the cuticles. I have learned that thin coats are all you need.

Do any of you know if the shellac will hold up against spray on sunblock? The sunblock we use always eats my nail polish and makes it lose its shine. I have been meaning to stop into a salon and ask this question but maybe one you has first hand experience?? :)
