Has Anyone had a Waitlist Come Through Recently

All this December movement is giving me hope! Still nothing opening up in any size at any resort for 12/30. I’ve been checking everything even though theres only a few things I’ll take. But the lack of movement is also making me think maybe the waitlist is working even closer to the way it “should.”

I had a wait list for one day. I am a stalker. I saw the day open for my wait list. I attempted to grab it, however, the system would not let me complete the reservation. I assumed/hoped my wait list grabbed it. Wrong.
Either another wait list grabbed it or someone booked it.

I am told over an over by MS, the wait list program has to "run" to match you open reservations to open wait list.

No doubt most systems would have a auto robot program to do this, however, this upgrade would not benefit Disney ($$$$).

Found my own room for 1 or 2 reservations.

DVC needs to up their game. Its 2021 and this stuff should be automatic to show up on your account. It could check points and then show up as pending. Once DVC checks it then it switches to confirmed. This would allow though to instantly see rooms that the waitlist comes through on.

This is just another example where I found a room before it was matched.

I think another update needed is the ability to see total waitlists on a room for a specific day. Don't need to know the full length of the waitlist or anything just the count for the specific date for the specific room. Additionally would be good to know your rank in order for each of the days individually as well again knowing that it would not show based across all days.

It makes no sense why we don't have more visibility in to the system except so Disney can cover up holes without people asking questions.

Yes just today for 12/22! One night to arrive earlier than planned Kidani standard view studio. Made wait list about two weeks ago.

Had our 4 night stay at BLT lake view studio come through today (7/15-7/19). I was stalking several times a day and had given up hope. Excited to stay here for the first time!

Now… a little WWYD. We have booked:
12/26-30 OKW HH 1 BR
12/30 BWV garden studio
12/31-1/4 BWV standard view 1BR

We plan to go to Kennedy Space Center on 12/30 with a one day rental car and then Epcot 12/31. I figure we will be back around 6ish on 12/30.

Best case scenario, the BWV 1BR comes through. But should I keep trying for the OKW one too- to only have to move rooms once? Or would it be better to be at BWV the morning of 12/31 and just have them hold our bags for the day. We plan to rope drop Epcot. We will use the rental car timing to move our luggage to BWV.

Any thoughts?

Had a 3 night at Boulder Ridge come through for the beginning of January, today. Only waitlisted earlier this week!

Our BWV added day came through and this is what was listed. Take notice it says Disney's Boardwalk Inn and not Villas.
The rest of the email does list Villas but the main page says INN

Now… a little WWYD. We have booked:

I would go with keeping the BWV garden studio 12/30, so you are at BWV the morning of 12/31 since you are planning to rope drop Epcot. It would make for a much less hectic morning for me.

That’s what we decided too. Any other day of the year, I’d go for less movement, but for NYE we decided it was easier to be moved over to BW already.

2 Waitlists came through for me last week. Single nights for AKL Value studios between Christmas and New Years. To say I'm happy is an understatement! These completed my reservation so I'll be down at WDW over NYE, looking forward to the fireworks.

Waiting on a 1 bedroom BWV for a Sunday night in October. Fingers crossed. It is for my birthday trip. We have SSR booked, but it would be nice to be near Epcot.
