Has Anyone Had A Problem .....

With all the beautiful designs I see and knowing how many people wear these to the world, has anyone ever been aproached by anyone from Disney questioning where you got these shirts or if you have a license to design these??

I have been told by someone that a friend of her wore a shirt that she had appliqued with a MM head and she was ask to come speak to someone about using the copyrighted disney character w/o permission.

I would hate to not be able to wear all my new and wonderful designs!

Nope I have not had any problems, and on my last trip this past Jan. I even had a CM ask about my shirt. I was truthful and told her a friend made the design and I ironed it on.

It is absolutely NOT a violation of the copyright to use the images for "personal use." We are skirting the issue here, since some of our designs are not really for our own personal use, but someone elses. I think as long as no one is profiting from the use, Disney will look the other way. Litigation would cost them a lot, mostly in terms of bad publicity.

Thanks, I was just wondering if someone would be that blunt. I would not want to spend my vacation in "Disney Jail"
I had read the post re: Amy's Designs and thought it might carry over. Was there something different about her designs?

I believe there was a donation button on her site which may have been interpreted by Disney as her designs being used for profit. That seems to be all anyone can figure out that was different. I have never read about anyone being confronted when wearing a shirt design they made. Most people actually get compliments on them!
