has anyone got thru to ms today

i have been calling and it was busy, not i finally got thru but its been ring for about 5 mins. now, i dont want hang up, i might not get thru again, anyone make ressies this morning?

I got through. It rang probably 4-5 times to get the main menu, then 4-5 times for the MS menu, then probably 8-10 times for someone to pick up.

I would expect MS to be very busy this morning with all the members calling who want to stay for New Year's Eve. Since the 11 month window fell on Sunday, that is making today extra busy!

Don't hang up when you get through! You will eventualy get a CM to take care of your request. If you hang up and call again, you will go to the back of the queue.

thanks ! i finally got thru and i got my ressies, finally done making day by day ,it rang about a good 8 mins, so if anyone gets thru like everyone that posted said dont hang up,
i figured they were busy for ressies for new years .

I got through after being on a ringing hold for about 5 minutes. I got the last couple of days on my coveted Boardwalk View studio . This was at 9:15 am. Now, I just need to wait for 12/27 to pop off the waitlist (12/26 already did). I'm sure it will will almost 11 months to go!

This year is expensive because NYE falls on Friday, so we're in a studio to save points. Next year will be even worse with a Saturday NYE.

are we all crazy going at christams/new years,
i keep reading that it is so crowded and people have to be crazy to go at that time. im planning a family reuion at that, and i dont want my family to be mad if its way to crowded, ill have to come up things to do instead of doing all the parks. any ideas

It's a wonderful time of year to be there. If your other family members have been to WDW before, I think you'll be fine. If this is a "once in a lifetime" trip for them where they will want to concentrate on going on all the rides, you might want to think carefully about picking this week. It's most enjoyable when everyone is flexible and isn't trying to do a commando raid on the parks. You'll also want to be sure and book any PS as soon as the various windows open up.

Another "catch" to this time of the year is weather. Sometimes it's beautiful summery weather like this year, sometimes it can be freezing cold for days at a time. And, there's no way to predict what it is going to do.

thanks for the info, all of us have been there several times and im sure we will bring my mother another trip to, since she has been down there but not in the parks, and dbrothers family have been there 8 years ago and this will be there last trip, they are the only ones that im worried about, but they actually more interested in universal studios since there kids are older.
and yes i will book ps as soon as i can, im actually still on the phone with ms, making my finally ressies and adding the magical beginnings, i waiting for my conf. #

When chatting with MS last week, the very helpful CM tells me that they are all dreading February 4th since this is the first day that non-SSR owners can reserve at SSR. ...just so you are forewarned...

I am on waitlist for 12-26 & 12-27 boardwalk view studio when did you go on waitlist I went on the 28th as I had to wait for points to be transfered in , I just cancelled SSR studio for 26 & 27 I have garden/pool on the 26 & 27 I will keep my fingers crossed I have 28,29,30, 31, & 1st in a boardwalk view studio

It took about 9 minutes of busy and 4 minutes of ringing and we have 7 nights, 12/25 - 1/1/05, in a studio at SSR!!! Our first trip home!!! It was soooooo easy.

I guess I was pretty lucky getting through at 9:03 AM today. Got my BWV studio booked for Dec. 26-31.

Now I have to decide on which on-site hotel to move to for Dec. 31-Jan. 2...

Sounds like a lot of people are planning to be at BWV for the holiday. Where are you all planning on being for NYE? Staying at the BW, or going to Epcot?

I had no problems getting through at 9AM this morning. The first part of our reservation is complete. We are staying at VWL 12/26-12/31. After that we will move to the Swan for 2 nights (can't afford those points ), and then finally we will move to the BWV for the remainder of our stay.

I have a lot more calling to do since we are getting a standard view 1 bed from 1/2-1/15. So far so good though

We are staying at SSR from 12/25 - 1/1/05. We are going to go to MK for NYE. We thought that it was the best place to be. Gonna try for PS at Liberty Tree.

We went down a few years ago for NYE (first NYE in the world), and went to the MK. We were staying at the Contemporary, so it was nice to be able to walk there. We had a nice lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, and dinner at Tony's Town Square. We left the park after lunch, went back for dinner, then went back to the hotel again, and entered the park for the 3rd time that day at 11PM.

I think we'll go to Epcot this year, not sure where we'll eat, though.

im just glad im done making ressies, now i can finish planning dd birthday party for sat. and then start thinking about where to eat with 14 people. i think NYE we will just hang out at the bw since we are staying at the bcv and eat dinner and maybe jellyrolls for the adults and something for the kids, their all teens now, so it makes it easier, plus im sure they dont want to hang with the adults.

any more info on ehat to plan just post, ill need all the ideas i can get

I started dialing at 8:57, dialed and redialed until MS opened. It rang 7 or 8 times before being picked up, but I got a BW Grand Villa for NYE!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!
