My TA says you can't have both, and switching over from my CAA room only rate at the Beach Club to a free dining with one day base tickets package will cost me an extra $480, just $10 less than the dining would cost me to pay full price for!!

So I don't see the benefit for us......

My understanding is that you can not 'stack' the discounts. So in order to qualify for the 'free' dining plan, room and passes must all be purchased at rack rates. That means trading off your AAA or AP or PIN code room rates and any ticket discounts if you want the free meal plan instead.

Had to edit to add that we did just have our TA book the package for us with rack rate room for 7 nights, 1 day base tickets, and the free dining plan add on. For a difference of just $136 (from our prior ressies with the AAA discount), the dining plan will give us 21 table meal credits, 21 c/s credits & 21 snack credits. We had originally budgeted out about $500-$700 for meals while at WDW--BIG difference. So, even if we do purchase some additional food items that are not covered under the dining plan (we do intend to sample our way around the world at the F&W Fest)... we will still come out way ahead. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Thank you Emily, from The Mouse for Less Travel !!! Love ya! :flower:

No, you can't. But, my ressie still went down $300. She had to take back the discounted room (we're staying at POR). I'll take the $300 however I can get it!

No you cant. That is what my TA at AAA said yesterday. I still saved over $500).

My week was $1651, now its $1140. Even with the new "higher" rate, its still a deal for me.

I stayed at the same resort, and just switched ressies

My AAA agent said the same thing. I took the free meal plan and gave up my $300 discount. If I paid for the meal plan, it would have cost over $1,100 for my family of 4 for 8 days. I was unsure if I would take the meal plan before because my 10 & 12 year old probably wouldn't eat $35 worth of food a day but at less than $9.50/day per person, it's a bargain.
