Has anyone from the US tried booking through the UK site?

I'm planning my first trip to Disney in November of next year and when I went to price everything out, the same trip that only costs $3949 (with current exchange rate) on the UK site costs over $9k on the US website.

I've read the UK website very thoroughly, and nowhere in the fine print does it state that you must be a UK resident, and Even in the booking section, it makes reference to non-UK and Ireland visitors twice.

I'm just wondering if anyone has actually done it.

Thanks!

I'm guessing when they go to mail your confirmation packet out and it's a U.S. Address that will probably give it away...

If you google it, looks like a bunch of people have with no problem. Not sure I would do it but just answering your question....

I've done it twice with no issues. There is a thread here- http://www.disboards.com/threads/di...y-offer-on-uk-expedia-ended-31-march.3222577/

I think the test for anything like this is-- Do I have to lie to get the discount? If not, its acceptable as is the case with expedia.co.uk
You include your name and address so they know where you live. Some things to keep in mind, you may have to call your credit card company and let them know about the planned purchase otherwise the charge will likely be declined as they will think its fraudulent. For the best rate book in pounds; don't let the website convert the charge to dollars. Any changes will likely require you to cancel and rebook.

Have a great vacation!

There was a thread about this a year or 2 ago....At that time the site would not accept the booking toward the end of the process.

I just realized that you may be on Disney's UK site. Sorry, I can't speak to that.

Thank you all! I went ahead and booked through the normal site, since I'm super paranoid.
