Has anyone found anything cheaper than $215 per night for the Hard Rock in May?

We are planning on going May 18-22 and would like to stay at the Hard Rock. The cheapest rate I've found is the standard garden view room for $215 per night. I haven't been able to find any promo/discount codes. Just wondering if I should go ahead and book at this rate or wait for a sale or discount code to appear? We've never been to any of the Universal Hotels and I'm not familiar with the rates.

General public rates probably won't get any better than that. If a member of your party has a preferred (or premium) annual pass, your rates drop to $179 on Friday and Saturday and $144 on Sunday and Monday. With taxes, that total is $726.75. At $215 per night, with taxes the total is $967.50. A Preferred AP will run you $179.95 + tax. If you just substitute one bonus pass ($89.95 + tax or $90 more) for an AP, and you'll get the room discount, plus other discounts around the park. I don't know if this is worth it to you to save about $150, but I hope that helps.

hey AlexandNessa .. where did you find AP prices? Their new way on the loewshotel site is horrible, but all I could find it seems was $269/nt + tax for either AP, FL res, or AAA .. better than $299 i suppose! We're just going for one night, March 21st.

Use the code APH in the code box for annual pass.

Folador, there don't seem to be many discounts for a one night stand.

and type in APH, like damo said. I checked your date, and $269 seems to be the best at HRH. :( (And I agree with you that the new Loews site is horrible.)

The same price is available for AAA it seems .. if I booked it at that link above as a AAA rate, is that a "qualifying stay" for LoewsFirst?

Yes, AAA is a qualifying rate. :thumbsup2

Thank you AlexandNessa! I decided to buy my husband the annual pass-it was worth it even for the extra discounts at the restaurants and shops. I really appreciate it!
