Has anyone felt the 7 night is Too Long??

7 is the minimum I normally will do.a 7 night cruise by itself is way too short. Usually do the short 7 night cruises with 7 nights at wdw. When I went to Alaska i did the 6 night repo before that so it didn't feel like a short vacation.

I wouldn't do less than 7 nights. DH & I are waiting for the kids to finish schooling so we can cruise on the longer itineraries.

A B2B has too many repeats. I'd rather do a more exciting itinerary with different shows and menus each night.
That's what's holding me back from doing a B2B, too. Also, I think the turn-over of people on the ship would feel odd. My kids would have to make new friends again.

Well, I certainly hope not :D our first Disney cruise is 15 nights :D We joined an amazing cruise group, and I think that is going to help enhance the trip as well. It already feels like we are sailing with a huge group of family <3

Our first DCL cruise was 14 nights. I travel for work and leisurely a lot. The longest leisure trip was 33 consecutive days. I have found that no matter how short of long the itinerary is, I tend to get antsy the last 36 hours or so and I just want to be back home. We have never been bored on a single vacation...ever, however, we always plan active vacations...we rest when we get home.

We've done 2 B2B and would do them again in a heartbeat. We worried before the first one (2 5n on Wonder) about both of these concerns - we love seeing the shows and eating in the MDRs and our DD is a little shy, so worried she would have a problem making friends twice in the clubs. Neither was an issue for us.

The repetition of the shows and the menus was actually a benefit to us - there wasn't as much pressure to see all the shows on both cruises, so we ended up skipping them entirely on the second cruise on our first B2B, and spacing them out a lot better on our second B2B. We relaxed more, enjoyed the deck, the lounges, DD hung out in the clubs, and we could still be sure we saw the shows we enjoyed. As for the menus - another added bonus! We usually end up ordering the same favorite menu items, but with a B2B, since we got each menu twice, we had more opportunities to explore other things we wouldn't normally try (because we have to have our favorites!) We also had 2 cruises worth of Palo experiences, which is always a plus.

As for the club experience for a shy kid - not a problem. She really didn't have issues with that - especially since we made sure to find some other families on our cruise on the meet thread and get them in touch before-hand. That worked well, and she had a blast.

I think the biggest benefit to a B2B is on the turnover day - instead of being sad to be getting off the ship and going home, it's more a bit of excitement that you're starting another vacation! It's sad to see the friends you made from your meet thread go, but there's a whole other group embarking with you for the next adventure as well.

I've only done 7 nights and I always feel they are too short. My husband and I are active people and there has always been more than enough to do. We usually come home with a list of 'I wish I got a chance to do this' items. Our first cruise we were busy every minute, and we never even made it in the pool!
(Though we usually do take advantage of every minute we are in port)

I've found that 7 days at an all inclusive is too long for us. Now cruising is different. Especially a Disney cruise. There so much to do that it's hard to get bored. My DH and I are going on the 10 day Southern Caribbean cruise this summer. My teens think 10 days is too long so they get to stay home with Grandma and Grandpa.

We've done a very short (too short) 3 night for our first. IMO it was a waste of money as by the time we even started relaxing we had to get off the ship (for some reason they kicked us off lol). It was on the Magic and you would love it just like you would love the newer ships. I loved it was so classic compared to the Fantasy that we went on for our 7 night. We kind of pick port intensive cruises though so there's hardly any down time for us. My DH and I agree that 7 nights is perfect for us. I couldnt get my teen son to ever come back to the cabin (he's not a social kid either but just clicked with maybe a handful of kids and that was it). Our next one this September, I'm probably going to wish for sea days since we have 4 very very long days in ports right in a row on our Med cruise.

I'll be honest, 7 days on the Caribbean seems like it'd be too long for me. But 3 Days in the Caribbean seems to long for me, too. It's a place that has no appeal to me for some reason.

That said, we're doing a 12 day in European this Summer.

I agree with what a previous poster said that at the tail end of any length vacation I get antsy, whether 2 days or 2 weeks. I think it's more anticipation of things changing than actually being ready to go home sometimes.

Our 5 day from NY to Canada was nice. But I think I would've been bummed and thought it was too short had I had to travel to get to the port rather than already being close.

I find the shorter (four and five night) cruises to short to enjoy too much, and we were on a 10 day Celebrity cruise a number of years ago, and I got pretty bored by the time we got back to port. But I find a seven night cruise just about the right amount of time to be on vacation. I'm kind of an introvert and DO book a balcony cabin (usually rear facing) so I can hide out and recharge a bit between events and outings. But I do enjoy going out in the evenings for a few quiet drinks and maybe a show. We don't spend much time on the pool deck, but do enjoy the sail-away and deck parties when they have them. Disney is more fun than a LOT of the cruise lines out there. Always something fun to do!

7 nights is never long enough for us! My husband has to drag me off the ship every time.... and usually in tears. We are taking our niece on a 2 night out of San Diego (because she has never cruised before and I want to make sure she will like it) and I'm not really looking forward to it. HAHA I told my husband 2 nights is just enough to make me mad.

For us, 7 nights is not too long at all. The cruises fly by - before you know it you're getting the disembarkation papers in your cabin! We are booked on the 11-nighter Fantasy in June and I can't wait for that one.

For me, 7 days wouldn't be too long if it was all or mostly all port days. I get bored with sea days. I love having one full sea day, but the next day, I'm over it.

We've done 4-day Dream, 15-day WBPC, and 7-day Norway. They all ended much too soon! Next up is 7-day Northern Europe this June and 14-day EBTA in May 2018.
