has anyone felt sick from the new ride soarin in epcot

I hate any simulator rides... makes me soo.soo. sick

soaring is a breeze. not like a motion ride at all.. I loved it

I usually feel sick on motion type rides, even imax theater..where the screen is so large. I wanted to try soarin..so I did and I was 100% fine. I was very surprsied that I was ok, but everyone is different.
I can't wait to go back on it next week!! My 4 year old DS went on it with us and loved it, too!! :cool1:

I don't get motion sickness or anything, but the one scene where you are flying through LA (or another major Cali city) at night, I get a little dizzy. I think it's because it's dark and all the color blur together as you fly along.

Hi Is there something else to look at when the dark scene comes along. My daughter gets cluster migraines that can last for days once they hit, so I don't want her to get sick. We will get some gravol or bonamine for her to take also.

Deb.

I had no problems with motion sickness at all, and I usually get motion sickness on all motion simulators.
Part of the reason for that may be that I always take a Bonine on days we go to Epcot to help me through Mission:Space.

DW suffers from migraines, so I can appreciate your concern. Probably the best thing to do would have her close her eyes at that point. Most of the scenes are of very short duration, seconds, in fact, since the whole ride is about 3 minutes long, so closing ones eyes for those short moments might do the trick. There is really nothing else to look at since the screen takes up most of the area in front and on the sides of the ride. My sympathy to your daughter, I know bad those migraines are.

The only scene that I felt a little sick on was the night scene through the city with the cars flying by. It is a little jerky. The rest of the ride is very smooth...
