Has anyone ever bought e-night passes through concierge before you arrive or do you have to wait until arrival?

You can only buy them the day of the E-Night, unless something has changed recently.

We've been able to purchase them from Guest Services when we checked in, for any night that it was offered during our stay!

They can not be prepurchased before arriving. You can buy them at anytime during your stay. If you are worried about them selling out beforehand, I don't recall ever hearing of an E-nite sellout. -HM
