Has anyone ever.......

I rode RNR by myself, the first time I went on actually. My fiance wouldn't go on roller coasters, and I couldn't wait to try out the new ride, so I went by myself. I loved it. Luckily, now that he's my husband, I've been able to convert him to (almost) as much of a Disney nut as I am, and he'll now go on just about everything there! Of course its more fun with someone you love, but definitely don't feel weird about going on alone. You'll still have a great time!

Do it all the time. Usually, you don't know who you are riding with until you get up to the car. Even then you get on the ride so fast you never have a chance to meet the person you are riding with.

Also, make sure you holler out to the CM you are single rider, you usually, get on the ride before the other 10 people in front of you :cool1:

My DH does not want to ride!! I want to thank you for your views and help. I wonder how my DH is going to react when I tell him that I want to get on RNRc by myself. He knows I am not afraid of looping rollercoasters but his thing is "if we can't get on it together, we ain't getting on it at all!"

Well, hopefully he won't put up a fuss. I refuse to go on TOT so the kids and I wander through stores, get a snack, etc. while we wait for dh to go on it. Maybe your dh would be willing to do that? Good luck! :)

RnR was the first ride I ever rode alone. DFi was sick, but really I think he was just a chicken. It was great, espically when I got to skip infront of about 15 people when we got in the main 'corral' area and they needed a single rider to fill in a seat.

Here's something fun to try...

Since your DH won't ride it with you, you should make him stand out in front of the ride with a sign that reads "Please ride this ride with my wife because I'm chicken and she doesn't want to ride alone!"

I'm sure you'll find someone to ride with ;)
Hey, we're going the last week in Sept and if your husband holds up a sign like this my husband will ride with you and I'll stand outside with him on the chicken spot. Will your husband dance with me to the great music they play out front while we wait for you?

I leave DH and DD waiting for me while I do roller coasters and tower of terror all the time. One good thing about doing that kind of ride alone is you can hold more than one fast pass by using someone elses ticket. At MGM, I'll get an FP with my ticket for Tower of Terror and have DH get one for Rockn Roller Coaster.

RnR is the 1 ride I definitely did this for. My DH doesn't like loops and my 2 DD were too little. I told my DH going down there that my whole week would be for the kids but i wanted to be sure to do 1 thing for myself-RnR. It was a 30min standby so my DH took the girls for IceCream. I actually was surrounded by teenagers in front and back of me so I was a little bored watiing by myself and not talking to anyone but it was WELL WORTH IT. My DD7 is tall enough this year so she will ride it with me this year.
GO FOR IT!

DH and I had to do it often last time we went. It was the first time we brought our kids (ages 2 and 4 at the time). We had to take turns riding RNR coaster, Thunder Mtn., Space Mtn., etc., etc... no biggie :thumbsup2

I've done 7 solo trips. And even when DH and I go together, he golfs every day while I'm at the parks. So that's LOTS of solo rides, but never RnR. I'm just to much of a wimp. But I don't see any reason you shouldn't if you're willing to ride-go for it!

I ride alone because I usually travel with 2 other people & one person usually gets tossed into another row.

I can't tell you how many of other people's kids I've "adopted" because the kids are scared & the parents insist they ride anyway. I just offer to take the kids in my row & then talk to them through the whole ride. It made me feel better about riding alone myself!

Have a GREAT trip!

On our trip in June, I had to "try out" many of the rides to see if my DS6 would be OK. I had just as much fun solo! On RNR, you won't be able to see your seatmate in the ride anyway so go and have fun!

Riding RnR alone is much better than not riding at all. Do mention to your family that the loops happen so fast, you will hardly notice them. Also, offer up some Dramamine. My wife and I were a little dizzy after this ride, but we liked it so much that we rode it 3 times in one day anyway. It was nothing that we couldn't handle.

:rotfl: We are going on the 27th of Sept. Your offer is so sweet and I just might take you up on it. The more response posts I read, the more encouragement I get to just do it. I asked my DD and DS about how would they feel if I left them for a few minutes while I got on the ride and they really have no problem with it so guess what.............I AM RIDING RNRc!!!!!!!
I can't wait!!!!! :banana

My best friend and my sister were both too chicken to ride RnR and ToT with me so I did both rides by my self and had a blast. If you want to go on the ride then just do it! You will not regret it!
