I have put some major miles (literally) on my crocs and they dont feel quite as comfy as they used to. Grant it, they still are great but not as they once were.

Just wondering and if this is a dumb question I don't mean it to be, but can you wear these things out?

They are rubber, so I would think they do wear out. Nothing lasts forever, and the wear and tear on the soles MUST add up..

I have several pair and alternate, so they don't wear out..I am a shoe fanatic:)

my 8 year old wore holes in the toes of hers... however she has been known to stop her bike with her feet rather than her brakes... and she plays on monkeybars and drags her feet in the gravel while she swings so I might not use her as the best example of how they hold up :lmao:

With regular use all shoes wear out at some point.

I'm still wearing my first pair from early 06. They seem flatter than they used to, but they're still comfy.

Dumb question, but are they really comfortable for 5 - 7 mile walks?

Very much so. But not speed walks IMHO..

I walk to work in the spring, and home again. 5 mile walks each way. I leave early, take my time, and they feel very comfy..Lots of spring in my step:)

My original pair are really bad. I stepped on a nail so they have a hole in them so I can't wear them in the rain now. I also painted in them so they are just horrible.

LOL, I won't be speed walking, but I do appreciate your response! as it warms up I would like to resume taking my dogs for really long walks.

I wore out my first pair. I still wear them but the bottoms are super thin and very slippery if I walk on a wet floor. I bought them and wore them everyday on a 10 day WDW trip and then off and on for two years afterwards. They're pretty much shot, but still very comfy.

The treading on the soles wears out pretty fast on my crocs.

Same here. I bought a new pair for a 10 day trip to Universal/WDW last summer and the bottoms were worn out by the end of the trip. When they get that way they are dangerous to wear in the rain.

Real Crocs? My Caymans are just starting to wear on the sole after 2 years and I wear them in the house year-round and outside too.

I bought a pair of Crocs Mary Janes for my Easter trip. They aren't "worn down" or anything, but the upper part of the shoe REALLY lost its shape and it looks really "used" and stretched out to me. And, no, I didn't buy it too small. I normally wear and size 8 and I bought the size 9 crocs. They were huge on my feet.

I wore out my Beach crocs in about 15 months. The bottom tread was smoothed out in about 8 months, but it was still fairly supportive. I just had to be careful on a wet surface. But I have a fairly large "ball of my foot", and the area where that rests is nearly worn through.

I wear my Crocs to Disney every time (probably 40 or so days over that timeframe), and we walk about 8-12 miles each time. Plus I wear them on my evening exercise walks, and while running errands. If I were to guess, I'd say I put about 800 miles on them before they were "worn out". Pretty good $ per mile, I'd say!

I have completely worn out 2 pair of crocs. I wear them everyday, all the time and they get thin in the soles at some point.

I went in a got a new pair a couple of weeks ago and the guy kind of shamed me because they were so worn out. They were black and the toes were skuffed and the soles were smooth, but hey, don't make me feel bad because I didn't replace them sooner.

PD, I found the Crocs find for "park touring" and maybe going around the mall. I did take my dog for a walk in them and did not care for them. I tend to walk a bit on fast side and I don't find them good for "exercise" type walking. Also, I kept getting pebbles and twigs in the shoe.

I have 2 pair and they are wearing fine. I don't do any heavy duty walking in them though. I also find that I get debris in them and it makes me crazy.

DD however keeps breaking the rivets on hers. Both the real crocs (waiting on new rivets) and the fake ones as well. I don't know what she does to them.
