It really looks like a nice Days Inn. It has a 4 star rating by Days Inn. It has 8 floors (tower) and beautiful pool and balconies. The prices is RIGHT at only $53.00 a night. This hotel is like only 4 blocks from the Hyatt Grand Cypress and a few blocks from Downtown Disney, so the grounds there are well manicured. I believe it is also near the Walt Disney World Hilton.

Has anyone here stayed there???? Again, it looks very nice and the price is GREAT!

Thanks Everyone!~

if you can do a search - this resort was being discussed a few days ago.

they seemed to like it - especially at that price.

be aware there is construction work going on - the reason the price is so reasonable.

We stayed there in Feb for $35 a night. I wouldn't stay there again. I am by no means a picky person but it was just a shady hotel.

I wouldn't trust Day's Inn's rating. And I wouldn't stay at a Days Inn.

There are a LOT of other places to stay for about the same amount of money that will be a lot safer and cleaner.

Wow, do you have any other ideas for hotels in the $50 dollar range???

Thanks so much!!!!

Brunette

When are you traveling?

Have you tried Priceline?

Anne

Here's the deal, I want to STAY CHEAP from 4/23/05-04/27/05. Those are the dates I will be settling on a Villa, so I will be by myself and I'll be in the parks, shopping etc, and of course working out any loose ends on our second vaction home, on those dates. I don't want to spend alot of money....then...

On April 27th I'm checking into the Animal Kingdom Lodge, with my boyfriend,YEA!! I really got a good price on AKL at $139.00 a nite.

BTW I REALLY LOVE your VILLA, it gorgeous!

Brunette

oh, and another thing I never tried Priceline. I think I really want to know what I'm getting before spending the money. Doesn't Priceline dictate what kind of room you'll be getting? I also, think I would want to be able to cancel If need be.

Thanks for your help!

I plugged your dates into Hotwire and got one of the DTD hotels for $56. Hotwire doesn't tell you which hotel, but ANY DTD hotel is going to be nicer than the Days Inn.

Do you HAVE to be at WDW? The Hampton in Altamonte Springs is about $65 a night if you call and ask for the managers special, and includes a nice continental breakfast. There's also a Holiday Inn Express in Davenport--which would be MUCH safer for a single person which is about taht price range as well. THere's a Holiday Inn Express up in Clermont, I think that one goes for about $80 a night though.

Thanks for your compliment--we're very pleased with the way it came out. Hopefully I'll be living in it full time in the next couple of months.

You have been so extremely helpful!

I will definitely check out those other hotels and see what I come up with.

I really appreciate all your suggestions and tips!

Hopefully we can converse further on the Disney Discussion Boards.

Thanks so much!

Brunette-

Is the vacation home you are buying coming furnished?

If so perhaps the current owners will allow you to rent it from them for that time frame at a very reasonable rental?

Anne

Oh I'm so glad I saw this because my husband was looking at this Days Inn just a few days ago because of the prices. I'll have to let him know what others are saying.

We're buying a new villa it hasn't been built yet. It's exciting, we should be moving into it between August and October. Do you know any reasonable pool contractors in Florida? We're thinking about getting a pool next year.

Thanks!
Brunette

No, sorry, we didn't put in a pool--with eight neices and nephews under the age of eight--including one that sinks like a rock--we were jsut too scared to do so for the time being. Our development has a nice community pool though.

Which builder are you using? Which development?

Anne

We stayed there a few months ago when all the Value and Moderate resorts were full, and we wanted something inexpensive. It was clean but older and nothing "well-manicured" about it. I would definitely not stay there by myself.

PoolGirl71!

Hi! Thanks so much for your information. It's always nice to have other sources and suggestions from other people on this board.

Ducklite-

It's Legacy Park, the builder is Standard Pacific Homes.

Hello!

How about the Doubletree Club LBV? It is in the same area (I think), and is available for approximately $44/night through Hotwire. I have not stayed there myself yet, but the place seems to get decent reviews.

Hi Brunette,

You may want to consider a studio at Cypress Pointe in the LBV area. We just got back from a 12 day stay there...we stayed in a 3-bdrm, which is the studio and a 2-bdrm unit combined. There are double doors "locking off" the studio from the other unit if they are rented separately. My MIL stayed in the studio portion during our trip and found it very nice and comfortable. I just checked your dates on Hotelkingdom.com and found availability at a rate of $58.56 per night. FYI, I felt very safe there and the LBV area is very convenient to DTD. Also, we had no problems whatsoever with Hotelkingdom. Good luck with whatever you decide! :flower:
