Hello everyone. I am new here, but have browsed through the discussion boards to read things people have posted. It is very informative.

I was wondering if anyone has ever had problems with getting tickets from Undercover Tourist and they don't show up in your mailbox? UPS said the tickets should have been delivered, but nothing yet.

With that said, is it possible if we can't find them or if no neighbors accidentally got them that Undercover Tourist would send new tickets?

No, but the first time I almost discarded them not realizing what they were. They come in a nondescript envelope.

If they're coming by UPS didn't they provide you with a tracking number though?

Yes, a tracking number was given and the latest status said delivery was made. But since our mailbox is with other neighbors, either it somehow was not delivered as stated or it could have been accidentally put in another neighbor's mail slot. Will check with neighbors nearby tomorrow to see if they got it.

Crud. Well hopefully your neighbor has it! If not, I would get on asap to both undercover tourist AND UPS - one of them needs to rectify the problem for you so that you are not out of pocket. Super annoying though :sad1:

Good luck and get atop this asap!,,

UPS would deliver to your door, not your mailbox.

UPS doesn't have access to your mailbox. Only the USPS does.

OP, can you post (copy paste) the tracking information? Not the number, just the steps.

While this has never happened to me, my mom has had the UPS tracking info show a package was delivered but it was actually delivered the next day. Seems for her that her driver marked delivered maybe to show the package was delivered on time to meet his quota or maybe he skipped by her house by mistake and didn't want to go back? Not saying your delivery person has done this but it is possible. Hope it comes for you tomorrow.

If UPS tracking shows the tickets have been delivered, the next immediate step is to call Undercover tourist and let them know the situation.

UT's website says that their free standard shipping and 5-day express shipping is via USPS, not UPS. Expedited 2-day shipping is handled by FedEx.

Your problem is with the U.S. Postal system and not UPS. For USPS, it's not uncommon for a carrier around here to mark an envelope as "delivered" in the system and then not actually deliver it until a day or two later. I've had that problem many times when Amazon uses UPS Mail Innovations to deliver a package to my local post office to be delivered by my mail carrier.

I was just going to post this. Unless you paid for expedited shipping, Undercover Tourist ships via the USPS, not UPS.

The tickets come in a plain envelope. Are you sure they weren't discarded by mistake?

Last year my tickets were "delivered" but I had not received them, Undercover Tourist replaced them and expedited the shipping so I would get them in time. I knew what the envelope would look like, I had ordered from them before so I know I didn't throw them out.

Hi Mark,
I had to sign for the approximately 5x7 envelope that was delivered via USPS from UT last month. Because I was not home when the postman arrived, a sticker was left on my door to come to the post office to sign. Just another possibility- maybe it's at the post office.
Susan
PS :welcome:

The tickets I ordered in December came in a manila type 5x7 envelope via USPS. They had added a small piece of packing material to make the envelope more 'bulky' and 'noticable'. I liked that they did that as it didn't look like junk mail then.

I have ordered from Undercover Tourist for quite a few years. They arrive by USPS and always require a signature. I wasn't home when they were delivered last week, and I had to go to the post office and sign for them (and show ID).

Good luck. Sounds like you need to get in touch with UT.

Interesting. I've ordered from them at least three times. They were just delivered to my mailbox in an envelope.

Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions.

First, I noticed that I did mention the tickets were to be sent by UPS. Now I understand that was incorrect. It is USPS that delivers them.

I will check again today to see if it is actually delivered today. A few of you mentioned you have had the Post Office show something as delivered, but it did not show up until a day or two later.

If I don't get anything today, I will contact the Post Office and UT tomorrow to see what they can do.

Thank you!

I have never had to sign for mine. They went directly in the mailbox.
