A good friend of mine, who *GASP!* doesn't own a computer, asked me if I had ever heard of this "method" of exercises for repairing poor eye sight.

I told him I'd ask on the DIS boards, because you guys, collectively, know about EVERYTHING :p

I did a search, here is a link to the site: http://www.seeclearlymethod.com/

He's wondering if anyone has actual experience with these exercises???

Thanks!! :)

I have no experience with this, but I hear the commercials all the time on the radio station that I listen to.

I figure that it must take a lot of committment to get this program to work. But I really don't know.

Let us know what you find out. :)

Ya know, I have been hearing the commercials more and more on the radio that I decided I was gonna ask the eye doc next time I see him but I was pretty well certain that this was offering more than what seemed possible - for my case of vision problem at least.

Thanks to your link, I am now convinced it is definitely not for me.

The muscles in your eyes, like all muscles, need proper exercise to stay in shape
While this is probably true, I always believed that the SHAPE of your eye also has something to do with poor vision. Exercise will NOT change the shape of my eye.
Sustained and/or close-up focusing (TV-watching, computer-use, reading) can overload the visual system and stress the muscles responsible for focusing.
No argument from me here.
An overloaded visual system can result in vision problems
Well, I guess this can be true but I'm uncertain if the vision problems would be of a permanent nature.
Eyeglasses and contact lenses provide a "crutch" to compensate for vision problems
THIS statement I have a real problem with. If it wasn't for glasses/contact lenses, I would not be able to see/do anything... since age 7! If that is considered a "crutch", I'm guilty but I am happy to use it.
Continued use of glasses can further weaken the eyes, resulting in the need for stronger corrective lenses
I have a problem with this statement too. I've worn corrective lenses since age 7 and have NOT had a prescription change in at least 15-20 years!
Act NOW: Try the See Clearly Method for A FULL 30 DAYS!
Place your order now to try the See Clearly Method in the comfort of your own home--all you pay now is $9.95 for shipping and handling. You can use the entire program for 30 days and even share it with your family. That's the best way to find out if the See Clearly Method is going to improve your vision or not. If after that time, you are not completely satisfied, just send it back and you won't be charged. But if you find that your vision is improving, do nothing, and we'll simply put four easy monthly payments of $69.95 on your credit card.
280 BUCKS! Right! Try for $10 and return if not satisfied or we will charge your credit card. They know people aren't prompt in returning items -- if they return them at all. I am definitely writing this off. The best way for me to find out if the See Clearly Method would improve my vision was to visit their website. Call me cynical but, IMHO, I believe it is a ripoff. Maybe it will work for some people and I will be happy for them, but I know this program is not for me.

Thanks for the link.
