Has anyone ever had 1 reservation show up as a split stay?

My original reservation was for:
September 27-29, Vero Beach
September 29-October 4 Saratoga Springs


I called today and said I would like to cancel the Vero Beach part and stay a whole week at Saratoga Springs.

It was availible and everything went through but when I look at the website, I have September 27-29 at Saratoga Springs, and a second reservation for September 29-October 4 at Saratoga Springs.

Has anyone had this happen? I asked the girl on the phone before I hung up and made sure that she knew I wanted to stay a whole week and she said she would try to link the reservations, but I am guessing it didn't work.

Does this mean I am going to have to switch rooms? It doesn't make sense to me to have us switch from one studio to another.
 
Is it possible that you used different home resort points for the 2 parts of the vacation? When that's happened, they aren't able to use just 1 reservation number, but the reservations are linked and there's no moving. That's happened to me a number of times.

We only have one contract through AKL, but these points are developer points that we got with the AKL purchase, so I think they are all on the developer points, I made sure to say that I wanted to use all developer points for my stay.

I'm glad to hear that its happened to someone else and no moving is involved. Thanks!
 
As a rule days added at the beginning of a stay will be a different reservation # as will wait lists and when different contracts are used.
