I just called today, to have my mom and I eat there. Neither one of us has eaten there before, so I am just wondering about how it is?

We both love pasta dishes, so that's kind of why I picked it and the other reason is to try a new place to eat at!

Thanks in advance!

It's been a while, but we thought the food was just okay. Most recent reviews on this board tend to be less than impressive. Note: You might get better response if you post this in the restuarant forum.

We ate there last year, and the food was okay, nothing special. The restaurant was very pretty (Lady and the Tramp), so that made up for the food.

I don't think Tony's is bad. It just isn't any good. Olive Garden is much better and costs a lot less.

You'll probably get more responses on the Restaurant section of the DIS.

We loved Tony's! :thumbsup2 The food was good and the atmosphere is old school Disney. Lady is my favorite so that had a little to do with it.

It's not amazing or anything but it's not bad either. The The last time I ate there we sat on the porch and watched SpectroMagic which was great.

I always eat there every trip. Its a good place to eat lunch at the MK and sit down. Nothing over the top spectacular just decent/good food. Although one friend I took about 3 years ago said Tony's has the best Caeser Salad he'd ever eaten.

I would compare Tony's to Olive Garden on a bad night. The food was bad and the place seemed a little dirty. The lady and the tramp decor was nice, but that was about it.

given the location, this is a restaurant where you could put cheese on a shoe and it would be busy... and basically they put cheese on a shoe and over charge for it. Service is often lousy, the food is often lousy... those having good meals there are in the minority. Let the buyer beware.

We were so excited to eat there, and very disappointed. Food wasn't even really hot, the place was dirty and worn down, and service was so-so. We did eat rather late that evening, so we got out right when Spectro was going by. Maybe it's better earlier in the day?

It's ok. If you are a true italian aficionado (sp?) then you'll be disappointed.
We've always had great service but we generally eat lunch here. We probably go more for the atmosphere.

that's a bummer to hear....we were thinking of going

Go there for the atmosphere, not the "Italian" food, and you'll be happy.

We've been to Tony's twice, first trip for dinner and ordered pasta dishes, the service and food were good and it was a busy night (after Thanksgiving weekend). On second visit we had lunch and ordered sandwiches (panini style) and were not impressed, service was a bit slow as well but we haven't rule it out yet and might go back next trip as we love the decor.

I was very disapointed when we ate there two years ago. I will NEVER go there again. I thought the service was good and atmosphere was ok but the food was terrible. I disliked all 3 entres that we ordered, the food was absolutely terrible for us.

It has been a couple of years since we have eaten there. We were not very happy with our last dinner there and thought it was a bit over priced for the food we got. We would like to try it again some time soon. We always wait for a while and then go back to places that have disappointed us. We don't want to just not give it another chance, we used to really enjoy it there.

We just ate lunch there a few weeks ago. I thought it was overpriced for what we got, but it's TS at Disney - it's going to be overpriced no matter what.

DH's panini was good, I liked what I got (some kind of flatbread) and DD liked her spaghetti/meatball. The place was clean, the server was nice, took the time to listen to DD chatter on about her day. It may have been a bit slow to get our food, but the drinks kept on coming and overall service was good.

We ate there in 2005 an dthis past August. I remember not being crazy about it in 2005 but booked there anyway in August. I think the food was much better this time.My daughter had the chicken parm which she loved. I tried it thought it was good. My dh and I had a pasta dish with artichokes, mushrooms etc. Thought it was good. The desserts were really good too. I wouldnt put it in line with a good local Italian restaurant at home but I thought it was as good as Olive Garden or any of those chain places. We would eat there again. Definately better this time though. JMO

Despite it's location, and the fact that I go to WDW every chance I get...I had never tried it! So this past July, I made it my mission to go there. I was alone, the place was not busy at all, so take this into consideration, but my server was perfect! She was attentive, talkative (but not too talkative), and seemed to be so for all of her tables. I ordered their new Italian wedding soup and a tomato and mozzarella salad with bread, oil and herbs. It was delicious! Every bit! Being alone, I was able to scope out neat little details, like on the far right window....if you look out, there is a scene of Lady and Tramp in the alleyway eating their spaghetti. You would never see this if you didn't look for it! The Host, Herb, was as sweet as can be! I have to say, it was a wonderful experience!
