Please explain. How does this result in money scams?

Because someone claims to have come back from the dead and some other person decides that they can use that concept to beg for money from people to support their belief. It is an indirect path but it is really nothing more than a conspiracy theory and can be used to create a following of people that want to believe it. Not all the time, but my emphasis was more on the idea that they didn't really die. In the true sense of the word there is only one definition of dead and that is "ain't coming back". Anything else is just close to death, at best.

Most people referring to coming back from the dead are talking about "legally" dead -cardiopulmonary. You either have suffered cardiopulmonary death or irreversible ending of brain functions(which you aren't coming back from).

I was thinking more along the lines of sending their money to people that need money for their mansions and private jets.

My dad died and was resuscitated, but he doesn't remember anything.

My grandmother had a pre-death experience/dream. She said she dreamt that there was a bright light, but she wasn't ready so she didn't go to it. But she told us "next time I'm going". This was Sunday, she had a heart attack that Friday and died on Saturday. If nothing else, it's comforting to know she was ready to go.
