Has anyone ever died?

Do you all see the crazy nutcase I live with?

I will say that he thought he saw the cat in the room with him. He though he was on a boat. He thought they had a big party for him one night. He thought there were babies in the room with him...
and one time when the nurse asked him if he needed anything, he answered "unlimited sex"

He's going to kill me for that last one

My husband's 85 year old g'ma saw a cat in her hospital room right before she died. Luckily she didn't ask for unlimited sex.:scared:

I had to have surgery while pregnant with DS17. I remember being in a room of white light. "White" is not the right word but it is the closest we have to describe it. I felt so peaceful and happy - kind of like being surrounded by loved ones during the holidays, you know? Anyway, it dawned on me where I was and I started shouting "NO! You can't so this to my husband! At least let the baby stay for him!" I saw an image of a newborn and heard a voice ask
"Would you stay with me if he lives?" I gulped and said "yes" then heard a laugh & felt a hard shove...I woke up in the recovery room hooked uo to monitors & stuff because my heart had stopped for 30 seconds duing the surgery. DS & I are both fine now but DH doesn't believe a word of my story

When my grandmother was much younger, she had a severe allergic reaction to imaging dye. She said that she witnessed the doctor and nurses working on her as if she was hovering above them.

As a paramedic, it freaks me out a little bit that someone who I am resuscitating might be hovering overhead watching my every move.

Wow.

I was in what I thought was a minor car accident. Only the side airbag deployed which in turn caused all kinds of internal injuries etc. Immediately after the accident I was reaching for my cell phone to call 911. Everything went white. I could barely see it was so bright. My kids were with me in the car and completely unharmed (thank God). All I can remember is thinking to myself...this is NOT going to happen in front of my kids, so pull it together and dial the phone. After that it got better.

Later that day, once they figured out that my spleen was "shattered" and they were prepping me for a procedure, the pain got so bad, I really thought it was over for me. I thought they waited too long, it completely ruptured and it might be too late. Had the whole life flash before you thing, mostly thinking about the kids again. Then all of the sudden the pain stopped (thanks to our friend Morphine). There are a couple of minutes I don't remember but I know I never felt calm that's for sure. I was SCARED, not really for me but for my DH and kids and the rest of my family.

SO I didn't die but I sure wonder how close it was that day.

Eddad- I have followed your threads (or the ones about your illness). You really made an amazing recovery. Keep up the good work!

I read a book by Don Piper, a minister. "90 Minutes in Heaven" - he was killed in a car accident, in 1989 - pronounced dead (several times) and came back. The book is awesome. Don will be at our church the first Monday in August. We can't wait to meet him!

When my brother drowned in 1994, during an epileptic seizure, I was tortured by the thought of the pain he must have felt - just before he died, we had been talking to a used appliance guy about getting a new window unit air conditioner - was supposed to be going over to pick up a unit from him within a day or so of my brother's death - when I called to tell him why I couldn't come, he told me he had drowned as a child, and had been brought back, and that he didn't feel pain, just a burning in his throat, then the next thing he remembered was coughing after his companions did cpr and revived him. It made me feel so much more at peace with my brother's death - Our business transaction was an awesome show of God's perfect timing!

I have never had a near death experience, but when my grandmother was near death she saw visions. When she was within a week of dying, she told would call out the name of a relative and then tell us that the relative was right by her bed. Several times she said that Jesus was there and that she wasn't ready to go yet. She would be staring towards the side of the room when she said these things.

One of my co-workers used to work in a nursing home. She told me that more than once the people she took care of knew that they were not going to wake up in the morning. Instead of saying "good night" they said "good bye" and thanked her for her compassionate care.

My DH "died" when he had his heart attack 4 years ago.
Fortunately we were at the hospital when his heart stopped. I was there and a Cardiologist was on one side of him and an ER Doc on the other side of him. They shocked him and he came right back. The girls call him a zombie and ask about his experience. Since youngest DD was only 3 and her sis only 6, it was their way of coping.
DH said that everything got quiet and very peaceful and then all the sudden he was back. The girls and I were hoping for a better story.:)

I had a patient yell at me once for bringingher back when she coded. She said she was up in the corner of the room watching me & another nurse working on her (we found her dead), and call the code team and so forth and she was pissed! She said she was in the nicest place she had ever been and then we had to go and pull her back to here. I told her to make herself a DNR and then the next time I'd be happy to let her go!

When my DFIL was dying, he was having all sorts of conversations with people who weren't in the room...people who had pre-deceased him.

Dying fascinates me. I think there's a lot our human minds can't comprehend.

I can provide a general overview of some of the notable incidents that have occurred at Disney World over the years, which were mentioned in the previous article:

  1. A drowning incident at Disney's River Country water park in 1980.
  2. A monorail collision in 2004 resulted in the death of a cast member.
  3. A tragic alligator attack in 2016 at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
  4. An industrial accident involving a cast member in 2018.
Please note that these are some of the more well-known incidents, and there may have been other less-publicized incidents over the years. Disney World takes safety very seriously and continuously updates its safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of its guests and employees.

For the most up-to-date and specific information regarding fatalities at Disney World, I recommend checking with official Disney sources or referring to any recent news reports on the topic, as my information is based on data available up to September 2021.
This thread is 16 years old and isn't about deaths at Disney. It is about near-death experiences.

The monorail collision was in 2009.

Wish the site would delete or at least close inactive threads from 16 yrs ago. Most of those people aren't even participants anymore and then you get some random person posting to revive it not realizing how old the discussion is.

Drugs will do that to you. In spite of reports from people who said they died and returned with detailed accounts of heaven or whatever ones version of Valhalla is, but they didn't die really. You don't die until you are dead with no chance return. It's the mind paying games on people that are comatose and body functions have decreased to the point of not being visually observable That is my opinion of how it works and also means that I won't be tricked into sending money someplace that is a scam. I'm not saying that some of these people do not have those visions, I'm just saying that they weren't dead at the time.

And yes, I knew it was from 2007 but I felt it was interesting enough to comment on.

Please explain. How does this result in money scams?
