I've been looking on some sites and there are last minute deals to Florida for £54 return Inc. all Taxes. Has anyone ever booked one of these and what are the catches? There MUST be some?
I once booked a flight for someone for around £190.00 for June time. It was a few years ago the airline was Britannia and the even landed at Orlando International. Booked through official Disney in the UK I found them on Teletext (Before the days of the Internet)....The hotel room was £25 per night which was split with a friend.
Sure it wasn't £54+taxes? or £54each way?
£54 total is £27 each way taxes come to more than this so they would leave the seat empty rather then sell at £54 surely?
We have booked a few of the late deals. Depending on who its with maybe you will have to take their car hire for the duration of the holiday. If you decline the car hire then the price of the flights go up.
We have had some really good last minute trips this way.

We went in March with First Choice for around £180 each, booked about 6 -8 weeks out. The price went down to about £120 as it got nearer to the departure date - and then I stopped looking as I didn't want to know! That included all taxes, etc., flying Bristol / Sanford.
My other bargain (although not as low as those you've mentioned, Tony) was last October when DD and I got our flights Heathrow / New York with British Airways for £160 each including taxes. That was from a link posted on these boards. I kept waiting for the 'catch', but it didn't come!
