Just wondering if anyone has booked a package through them before and if they have had any issues with the hotel? My sister spoke to someone at Stovall's and was told they have had issues with people booking through 3rd party sites and showing up only to find out the hotel is completely booked..then the 3rd party they booked through will find a "comparable" hotel that does have availability. The issue came up because I wanted to book a package through getawaytoday and could only book 4 nights and the hotel we wanted as there was no availability for the 5th night. So my sister called the hotel directly to see if they possibly had availability for that last night, which they did. She was told that booking through a 3rd party doesn't guarantee you will actually get the hotel you thought you booked.

Has anyone had any issues? I was all ready to book through them but not if Im not guaranteed to get the hotel I want!:sad1:

I recently booked through getaway for a trip in Sept. First time booking so can't comment on all of your questions, however I have had friends that have gone through them in the past and didn't have any problems so that is why I went with them.

I recently called getaway and found out that the 2 queens bed room I had book was only a request (they never told me this at booking) and I would likely get 2 doubles. I therefore change my hotel booking to another room. Getaway was great to work with with the change. I did pay the $30 no hassel fee to allow me to change this.

I have since called the hotel directly to confirm my reservation. I would recommended still calling the hotel directly after booking. I also plan on calling the hotel directly the day before we leave to make sure there is no problems.

I have reservations for a hotel through GAT for October. We have used them 3 or 4 times in the past. I can usually find the hotel cheaper online, but this time GAT came out cheaper.

I actually talked to Justin at Stovall's today and he didn't mention any problems with GAT. He did check on my reservation for me - it wasn't there, but I just bought the hotel portion of my trip on Sat. night through GAT. He was very helpful and answered all of my questions really well.

I'll call again in a couple of weeks (or days if I get impatient) and check on my reservation since I want to add a couple of requests.

We've NEVER had any problems with GAT and if you do, they are the company that needs to resolve it, not the hotel/motel.

Also, make sure you bring that all-important hotel voucher that you will get from them. You need that to check in to any hotel you get through GAT.

3 times in the past, and they have been wonderful.
excellent service, even when we booked last minute. We have never had any problems getting exactly what we booked at the hotel that we booked.

We have booked with them twice. Great experiences. We had an issue with the tropicana adding a parking fee after we had already booked. Getaway today took care of the added fee. they were really great A+

booked though them for our oct trip they have been wonderful and so far no problems even when needed to move a night back so we could see F they still got us our free forth night at quality inn and 69 a night the prices for 3day hoppers were much better then disneyland.com

Haven't booked with them since 2007, but have done two packages and two room-only reservations. Had no problems at all with them. My brother still uses them for his annual trips.

We've used GetAwayToday at least a half a dozen times. I have never had an issue. Our next trip scheduled in October is through them. My husband works for the State of California and they actually recommend them to his agency. I hope it all works out for you!

I've used them in the past and had great experiences. They are always great to work with.

Are you trying to book online? You might want to give them a call. I booked with them last year and the hotel I wanted was sold out on one of the nights I wanted. Turned out it wasn't sold out, Getawaytoday had just sold it's allotted number of rooms. They called the hotel for me and got them to give me that extra night at the same rate I was paying for the rest of my trip. So that could be an option for you. It may show "Sold out" online, but they may be able to work something out. They've also helped me find other hotels on occasion when one really was sold out, often leading me to a better hotel than I found on my own for about the same price. So I'd totally give them a call!
