Has anyone ever been turned away?

I know it is said all the time that as long as you are in line before park closing, you will be able to ride. Has anyone ever been turned away? Or has had this system fail on them?
We are thinking of park hopping to Epcot for EMH the day FEA opens because it's our last night at WDW and I'm expecting a long line, but I'm worried that it might be so long that we will somehow not be able to ride!
So much Disney anxiety!

If they let you into the line then you will be able to ride (barring no break downs).

No but I wouldn't cut it too close. Your watch/phone may be off compared to theirs.

They may cut the line off before the park close time. If you are allowed in line, you should be able to ride.

As long as you are in line you are fine, I've been turned away before getting in line which was frustrating because it was 30 minutes before park closing time.
