Has anyone ever been able to do online check in prior to their date?

My day for check in is tomorrow, but I happened to be browsing the site and noticed that it let me check in. I know something is wrong because it won't let me book any onboard activities

Check in is now available at 7 pm the day before your actual check in date.

But, activities still can't be booked until midnight.

As your check in date is actually tomorrow, and it is after 7 pm, you should be able to check in, but NOT book activities. So you are all good!

You'll be able to book activities come midnight (apparently you'll need to be logged out, and then log in at midnight).

Well that's frustrating because I was expecting it to be 12 am and now I have a much later port arrival time then I wanted
